I haven't seen a thread about him for a while. He's still free after turning down blackpool.

Would have him here in a heartbeat if the wages are right

I'd take him if wages are reasonable too.
Manager first though and hopefully if he's the kind of manager to keep his alleged attitude issue in check, all would be rosey.
All hypothetical of course.

10 appearances and 0 goals in 2013/14 for Ipswich then released doesn't bode well. Trial maybe but I wouldn't be diving in blind with a contract offer.

Still a free agent, worth a short term deal maybe?

Can't be any worse than Stead. Even with a broken leg.

We must have some kids coming through who can offer just as much as Stead up front.

I've got a carrier bag of pebbles here that are a bit better than Stead. I'll send em up.

Nearly earned us a point on Saturday, helped earn us one last night. Not his fault our back 4 have regressed to hoof ball.

I'd rather bunn to be honest - might not be 'physical' but he's a nuisance, might prevent the hoofs, and can score. put stead in my lineup v leeds in the hope a hometown lad will always put in that bit extra vs them...but wouldnt be upset to see bunn in there

He actually fluffed a decent chance near the end He just doesn't bring anything to the team. Alright blaming hoof ball but even when it does get played in to him, he usually makes a mess of it We need a loan signing desperately

Ron Atkinson program a few years ago was it called soccer manager or something? Powell seems to be using this as his management phylosophy. Basically Big Ron, said if you want to keep clean sheets then the back 4 don't fuck about with it. Get it launched and get it launched long. Midfielders and strikers can be creative not defenders. We just need someone to hit with the clearance and then when we have spells of possession use it more effectively. One thing it will teach our midfield is they must keep hold of the ball or they will do a lot of chasing.

What's he meant to do, say "Actually boss, you;ve got better options, leave me out?" I guess I'm just fed up with the constant scapegoatery we have adopted as a collective

Ron Atkinson didnt make a racial slur whilst saying that did he??
Stead isnt the answer to our problems but he does work hard and he did his job on Saturday considering how poor the service to him was. I didnt go on Tuesday so cant comment there. We do need a loan signing but it doesnt help us to get on Stead's back until we have one. I agree Bunn may be worth a shot in the middle as he did well earlier in the season and seemed to wind opposition fans up and thats normally a good sign an attacker is doing the right things.

You;ve outdone yourself advocating this as anything other than a stopgap. I thought even you had more of a clue than that. It shouldn't be a stop-gap, but like the other managerial appointments it seems to tackle one part of the problem, not find a solution. My first house had a steep staircase, in fact the treads tilted forward it was that steep, when I looked for the second house It needed to have a big, wide, flat staircase, it was almost more important than the house.... Guess what we moved again to somewhere that suited all our needs. Deano's managerial appointments are like a search for the ultimate solution, each time improving on the lasts weak spots, only deano has forgotten about the flowing football (wide steps) because he needed a motivator (a bigger garden with steep steps) ..... Time will tell, Ill back Powell, Lets see what he can do. His first two games in charge have been dire to watch, so I suppose it can only get better from here..... IF not ML will be in charge for boxing day.

I've got a very good friend who is an Ipswich fan, their advice - don't touch him with a barge pole. Terrible player, nowhere near where he once was. Look elsewhere!

I think the fact that nobody is taking on Ebanks-Blake despite how good he used to be says a lot. Off-field discipline not great iirc and failure at Ipswich suggests to me that there will be better options out there, and possibly better options already in the squad.
