Like I said leagues apart things you can only dream about LEAGUES is plural and in reality we are 1 league apart so should be LEAGUE apart, and whilst that is true you are in for a humilliating season and we are in for an exciting season, plus while we eat pies and sup beer at half time you have to shag a sheep

I opened this thread without realising that it had been started by a WUM. Just ignore them, they'll eventually get bored.
I am neither surprised nor worried that we've not replaced Robins yet. It's only been two weeks, and it's not as though the board had chance to make a start before he went, they won't have been prepared as they were with LC and Larry. It's also not as though we don't have a decent caretaker - Lillis is doing a great job.
Yes, the transfer window closes soon, but so what? The loan window opens shortly afterwards, and whoever the new man is will need time to assess his squad anyway.
I think it'll be harder than people think to get the right man in. Not only are Palace also looking for a manager, but I expect a few prospective candidates will also be keeping an eye on what's happening at Bolton and Fulham - those jobs must be coming up soon if things carry on as they are.

Don't know how much truth there is in this per se, but I'm beginning to suspect no one wants to work under the conditions laid out by the board....... Believe me, a football manager will work under a nazi regime if asked! They need to keep them selves on the football gravy train! And the nice fat pay offs that come with it!

I'd be thinking Mackay might be banging on Dean's door atm "Gis a job please, I promise not to text anyone anything nasty."

Can't blame him at all fkn shite club What's wrong pal? You too scared to go on a Premier league teams forum & give it the big'un? Congratulations to Burnley on getting promotion, it shows that the smaller championship clubs can still get to the premier league.. The key is for the chairman to invest in the squad to compete, which your chairman unfortunately hasn't! Thankfully most Burnley fans have been quite graceful in last seasons success, always one fuckwit though, eh?

Completely agree with Melc. Lillis is a legend at Town, even with younger fans who never saw him play, but Lillis was sacked by Halifax. He seems to have got us some momentum going, like Gerry Murphy did on 3 occasions and as a lot of caretaker managers do at other clubs. If he can keep us playing like we have done in the last 4 games, then he should be talked around taking the job until the board are blue in the face, but I can't see it. As soon as we get a couple of bad results/performances the criticisms will start and the world won't seem as rosy. I may be wrong. Powell did a blinding job at Charlton over 3 years.

said before Burnley are playing a load of cup games this season dressed up as being in the same division. championship side with no additions worth mentioning having a season of defeats? is it really worth paying extra for?? I can watch town all season and watch all the proper premier league teams on sky cheaper than a season ticket at Burnley. Burnley are now a premier league team on a par with Yeovil when they were a championship team. Funny to watch Ings trying his arse off in the hope of a move before Burnley become the 'get your goal difference up' team.. Sometimes you do get what you want, but its not always as good as you thought it might be.

From a very reliable source. Surely there should be far more millionaires about in Kirklees and district if all this so called reliable source information were true.

Clearly there are people who still think I'm a wum yet when I've challenged to meet any of them at games they've all gone quiet, like I said though, I got told this info from a person who knows stuff, I won't be naming him because it would only harm their position.
If anyone would like to ask Dean about this let him explain.
But like I said, Chris Powell met Dean and he wasn't happy about the constraints here at Town.

YES, I would happily take a season in the prem, Even if it did mean coming straight back down again, Take the parachute payments add strength and go again, Let the players who got you up have a go at keeping you up, If it doesn't work you haven't spent a fortune on players you can't afford when ya get relegated.

So can I get this right you don't want to get promoted then , you don't want to see the best players in the world at the John smiths , cheaper to watch em on telly . What is the point then , and to put us on a par with Yeovil what a JEALOUS BELL END man u next for us quite mouthwatering . Have you read the papers today we will go on to take points of some of these clubs no problem with dyche at the helm ps nobody wants the job at your place

The fact that we can't outspend the rest of the division? Aren't many of those jobs going so if that's his criteria then he may struggle. Personally I'm not convinced we've offered the job to anyone yet.
