he never really got the job at leeds, because in all honesty there isn't one. the mad Italian just needs someone to sit on the bench wearing a tracksuit whilst he does 'deranged' things behind the scenes..

Big clubs like Fulham will be looking for manager in the very near future and with far more money to spend than Town due to parachute payments. Lennon will allways be a manager on the wanted list but surely he would be looking for a challenge in the premier league with a salary to match and what anoys me most is this second hand media information instead of the club releasing a statement had the speculation been true.

You have to ask why it took him so long to 'rule himself out'..surely he would know at quite an early stage whether he wanted it or not? Sounds more like we turned him down, so as not to reflect badly on him his agent has said he turned us down.
Not sure why we would turn him down though...
His wages might be higher than we have been used to for managers but If he's the right man we'd be better off paying it..never understood why clubs are happy to pay silly money for players but not for managers. Give them a good wages with high bonuses but low severance

I take anything the unexamined says with a large pinch of salt as they usually just repeat what the club say, which is not necessarily the truth *cough* Clayton's 'injury' *cough*

clayton did have an injury.. he had 'strained his bank balance' and it required an injection of cash.
to a footballer its worse than a ligament going...

Not too fussed Anyone mentioned in the short list could manage Celtic to the title so that proves nothing IMO. Celtic could even appoint the likes of Wadsworth, Hockaday, Ternant ... and would still win the SPL Nothing against Lennon - he may be decent - but I won't pay him inflated wages because he won the SPL a few times with Celtic Mowbray couldn't Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards Not when up against a strong Rangers side, no. However, if they'd have been thrown out at the time there's no doubt he would have.

I reckon Lillis will do a caretaker role for a few months and then Lennon will come in at Christmas, when the war is over.

Today's Yorkshire Post :
Lennon and Mackay did speak to Huddersfield. Neither man, though, is in the running with Lennon – who like Pulis commanded a big wage in his last job – indicating that, despite being impressed by what the Yorkshire club had to say, he was holding out for an offer from a Premier League club or, failing that, a job in the upper echelons of the Championship. Today's Yorkshire Post :
sorry but wouldn't it be his job to ensure town were in the upper echelons of the championship?
Sounds like a complete kop out to me. Obviously not got through the interview stages.
If he is waiting for a "bigger" club then that to me says he isn't confident enough for the challenge to better us as a team he wants success handed to him by going to a higher placed club therefore demonstrating the inability to do the job we require of the candidates. He is not after a challenge but a walk in success "look how good I am" For what ?

I've never met him. He is a twat.
I've never met an awful lot of people nearly all of these are not twats.
Anyone trying to work out if this was a double negative..

Lennon covering Leicester game on Sky. "Not spoken to any clubs" Now either he's covering his back as was not successful or its all just bullshit rumours and lies as usual. Probably the latter imo
