Surely something will happen this week over some. decision either way about our new manager, wonder if the club will give any clues as to timescale.com.

I hope they do. I can't bear to think of the legal fees involved when you sue them for the coronary you are going to have

Perfect time to bring a new man in with 2 weeks until the next match. I'm sure the club are going about their business as efficiently as possible. Let's all stop getting over excited and frantic.

I think Dean should be applauded for the care he's taken over identifying a new manager. At the outset I feared a rushed appointment but that hasn't happened.
That said, I would like to think that someone will be appointed very soon so that they can have a few days to work with the squad ahead of our next game.

We honestly do need to strike quickly. Three weeks passed already and the problem is that more appealing jobs are coming onto the market now. People won't like this statement, but vacancies at Leeds and Watford would push the Town job into third place for any prospective new manager. Watford might tempt Powell as he's southern-based right now (although I now see that Oscar Garcia is in line for that one.)

Don't think anyone could argue that isn't a sensible approach. However, although Grayson was a bit of a rush job, I think they took care about hiring Clarke and Robins and they didn't quite work out!

L666ds post going to be filled by Sannoni (?) the outgoing Watford manager according to a L666ds fan at work

The sceptic in me thinks we've delayed any appointment and made it a slow process on purpose until the window is closed to avoid them wanting to spend money.

Has to be bang on this time goodshot. I think the fear of being hunted down by some on here may be at the back of Hoyle's mind

two ways of looking at it;;
1. we are taking our time to make sure we get the best candidate for us.
2. we have identified who we want once or maybe twice and we didn't get him for whatever reason.
whichever camp you are in, the new bloke wont be making any signings, they will, at best be loans from next week and will probably be well after the Boro game. If the new bloke wants to look at the squad and then make his own decisions on loanees, that will take even longer. This is all assuming he will be allowed to make his own decisions on personnel.. The moves recently have clearly put that debate back into the frame, whatever anyone says..

Look, until the Cardinals has signed all the players they want, black smoke will still billow out of the JS Stadium chimney.

This is maybe not be your normal run of the mill football managerial job thus might explain the non appointment of a top manager. I for one would back Mr Hoyles choice who ever he brought in but Hoyle needs to take a closer look at Mark Lillis especially if none of the big boys show interested and might be an idea to consider offering Lillis a short term contract of which i feel sure he could then take this club to a new level after a little dabble in the emergency loan market.

The young lads need Lillis back pronto. I see they have been thrashed 0-5 by Charlton.
