I think that whoever gets the job, collectively we have to support him. Fans cannot pre judge anyone on the basis of perhaps they don't like them or they wanted another person for the job. Whilst some fans might find this difficult we have to get behind the man (or woman) chosen by DH and trust in his judgment and a comprehensive selection process. The man (or woman) chosen will have to tick lots of boxes i.e. "done it", play attractive football, buy into the academy ethos and more importantly play winning football. This may or may not happen immediately BUT whatever happens the person has to be given ample time to put HIS stamp on the team. I suspect that this will be reiterated by DH come the time that Fumata Bianca appears out of the Johns Smith Stadium chimney stack signalling that the DH Conclave has made its decision.

If Powell was going to get the job, hed have been given it by now IMO. Ages ago! . Same with Mowbray.
I reckon it'll be someone none of us have even heard of ( apart from off topic who'll know every single detail about his record, tactics, style, character, shirt size....)

If the rumor mill is to be believed there are second interviews taking place this week. To me that's a solid reason why no one would have been made an offer yet.

Powell is 4/6 fav below him is Lennon doesn't want it? Lillis says in Yorkshire post sad it ain't him? Neil warnock at palace Presley really doubt it?? Hasslebank highly doubt it So we have Davies and hughton left for me realistically at 20/1 and 33/1 Sooooooo why is no one putting loads on Powell? Few quid on Davies and hughton if fails?? Where is otium has he missed this one?? Even Deano does not know who its going to be...so where is the bet? Give me a clue before the bookies move odds and i will pile my £20 on....cos thats as much as you can get on at big odds.

No chance of it being MM. No one will touch him with a bargepole now. It'll take a while before anyone will be brave or stupid enough to take him on again. That's a bit ott. He made a few silly comments but they were hardly ratial hatred. They were made in private texts. He's a bit uncouth that's all, but what manager isn't really. Not many. I think he'd be excellent at town. If welcome him here. Delivers good, well organised, well drilled teams.

Mr Hoyle must be laughing his bollocks off at all this managerial speculation especially if far from the truth plus odds are normally created by money placed on that person . Surely all the people on this site in the so called know are about to become either overnight bookies millionaires or alternately have far to much time on their hands and still wait for any kind prediction to come true.

There's more to it regarding transfers His wife had a dodgy middleman company that some of the transfers were funnelled through - allegedly.

Very fair points those Captain, and I tend to agree with you. We're off on hol's Thursday to California and I just hope it's sorted before then.

There are other allegations to come out separate to the texts........as discussed a couple of weeks ago after the Cardiff game.

Dont think it will be MM if for no other reason than who is going to risk appointing him now? Only to discover that FA have slapped a ban on him and the club concerned then has no permanent manager again.
Even if the terms and conditions are - you get hired and paid but if banned the contract is immediately voided and you get no compensation - that still leaves us (or whoever) having to start the whole appointment process all over again. Too risky.

Someone HAS been offered the job and should be confirmed in next couple of days hopefully.
Although, it sounds like they've not responded immediately to the offer...maybe looking at the other available jobs too?

Although, it sounds like they've not responded immediately to the offer...maybe looking at the other available jobs too? Then we should rescind the offer, fuck him. If he has to think about it we don't want him here. Assuming what you say is true.

The only thing that would bother me about him is he's a Londoner & might not hack it up here.
