from BBC live deadline day page:
14:04
Thanks Marc and, thankfully, I won't have to worry too much about keeping an eye on transfer activity at my hometown club while in the live text hot seat, the Terriers are never the busiest on deadline day.
On the whole it has been a relatively quiet transfer window so far, but could it be the calm before the storm?
Let's see what the afternoon has in store for us...

And with that, I'm handing over the epic live text baton to Gary Rose. Over to Huddersfield's finest...

A Town fan doing the live text! Crazy He said "hometown club" - usually a euphemism for glory hunter. Funny how that phrase is only ever used by Prem supporters talking about their "support" for local Cheltenham Town. It's a bit like how the phrase "legal tender" is only used when trying to use a Scottish twenty quid note.

Not me. We are mainly on daily rates from sky sports the week before the window shuts. I have one or two agents doing work for the bbc, but he isn't one of them.

At first I thought you a good old fashioned WUM, but then I thought you were perhaps some little attention seeking child who's parents didnt love him enough, but now I see your actaully just a bloke with an IQ of about 3

When sky quote "sky sources" about 40-50% of that is gathered information from the news network.

sky sports have people at every club giving them insider information.. they then pass it onto others, usually the viewers before half bit 'reporters'..
comparing yourself to sky sports is a new 'low'..
admit it now, you are taking the piss??? be a good one if you are, you have kept it going for a good deal of time and amused/pissed a load of people off..
If not, then therapy is required, your next move is likely to involve going banzai in a public place..that will get the attention you so richly seek..

Interesting article from Guillem Balagué, who as his article states broke the stories on Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Fernando Torres, Juan Mata, David Villa, David de Gea, Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Leo Messi, and in this window alone Xabi Alonso, Ángel Di María, Negredo loan to Valencia and this morning Falcao to United. Where did he break them? Who did he charge? No one. He put them on his Twitter for free for all to see. There is no market for paying people to give rumours, obviously. Balagué is a respected journalist who will write and talk about football, same with DT and JJ at the Guardian, HW at The Times, etc etc. There's no middle man here charging a fee for shitty scattergun approaches, these people will be tipped off either from the horse's mouth as so to break a story, or by other people spotting things or tipping off. There isn't a financial market for rumours. bleacherreport.com/articles/2176152-breaking-football-transfer-stories-requires-trust-and-commitment-to-facts?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UKObviously this is all blatantly obvious to most people, but for those who says Lopez is only on a wind up, days like today clearly prove that he is actually deluded into thinking he is a News Network reporter, and does want people to really believe him.

superlopez..
I can only see this ending in a wanton display of attention seeking in a town centre, leading to arrest and some strange notoriety or a hail of police bullets..of course knowing superlopez, he will choose half day closing and have a reign of terror in an empty town centre with a street cleaner and 2 blokes having a craft smoke outside a bookies..

He probably has a platinum pass, so knew about them a week before they happened.... Come on... Keep up.

fuck, I thought you were passing him the information.. im lost now...
if your undercover reporter name is "who the fuck is he", then you have probably been 'quoted' a lot of times in this transfer window as the 'source'...

The irony is that if superwaltermittylopez had never invented the news network nonsense, he might actually have gotten himself slightly more credibility than the average DATMer.

I don't think anyone else is looking for 'credibility'.. just posting on a football site..general rumour/chat about the club, some nonsense and some humour..
with transfers in or out, speculation isn't important because we either do the deals or we don't the rest does not matter a jot..
