Great signing. Well done to everyone at town for seeing the weak spot and filling it with genuine quality!

A signing to make most of us delighted but you chose to post criticism and doubt

Signed for a "nominal" fee. I love the spin we put on our transfers. When we sell it's "significant" and we hype it up, and when we buy it's played down. Wish we could just be told what the fees are. You have to wonder why he has chosen to come to us though if he's a southerner and had offers from other big clubs in the division. I can't imagine we have offered more in wages and our current situation (no manger + poor league position) isn't exactly attractive. Fair play to him though if it's first team football and a scrap to reach lower-mid-table he wants! There you go FFS! You sorted sell out but missed manger Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

Big and strong - Deeney wouldn't push him over.

Seeing the weak spot wasn't difficult. Filling it with a signing of Hudson's quality is a massive step forwards.

I think I'd play Gerrard & Hudson at CB. Smith & Lynch full backs. Both useful going forward.
This back four would surely end our 10 year weakness at defending set pieces.

Time will tell but I certainly think we've done some good business this summer. Squad starting to look pretty good. Well done town. FINALLY SOMEONE TALKING SENSE. Got a new look midfield in Butterfield, Coady and Mejewski and now a top quality centre half but still i bet people moan. Well done deano ... UTT Let's get something straight I don't think many have moaned as much has been frustrated at performances in the past 8 months. Yes we have our fair share of moaners but there are many many more who support DH but have asked reasonable questions about strategy. We seem to be addressing our frailties and have done some good business too.

Fair play to him though if it's first team football and a scrap to reach lower-mid-table he wants! Maybe it's because we're too close to the problem and we generally see too many negatives. Looking from the outside we are actually a reasonably attractive club, good and respected owner; significant improvements under DH; good ground; excellent facilities (Canalside); the nucleus of a mid to upper table squad; some potentially good players (we all know we have if the right manager can get them to play to their potential consistently). I think we're a reasonably attractive club (not as attractive as some, obviously and no parachute payments,) but I can actually see how players see us potentially a good club/reasonably attractive. Course if they came on DATM for half an hour they wouldn't touch us with someone else's barge pole!!

Our best starting 11 all of a sudden looks a very capable side!
With Vaughan back from injury and now a quality new centre back in the ranks this could be the boost we needed to kick start our season!

You're right - the problem is our best starting 11 never start. Hope this guy is fit and not about to become another half a season man.

We seem to be addressing our frailties and have done some good business too. Yes performances have been shocking for a while. But Dean keeps spending money within our budget, without putting us in any debt. The training ground looks good, canalside looks great and we have everything in place to move up the league further and who knows premier league, just wish some people would stop moaning and realise the size we are as a club and how lucky we are to have a sensible, realist chairman who loves the club. Robins walked and now hes trying to find the right manager. Whats the problem???

Great signing for you. As long as he stays fit he will do a great job for you. Weve signed a centre back for £5m and Hudson was already struggling to get a place in our side. But I still would have been more than happy for him to have been in our starting line up. Sad to see him go.
Bangs them in like this as well.

Am I right in thinking we have bought Butterfield, Coady, Peltier, Murphy and Hudson... And still made over £2 million on transfers??
Bravo
