The new programme/newspaper is £1 cheaper, and some say looks it, but it is hoped to address the decline in programme sales. It is aimed at being a more interesting read but it is more cumbersome and lacks the squad list on the back. It is designed to answer the criticism that the print in the old one was too small and the old one had too high a proportion of ads. But if you collect programmes how does it fit in with your collection? What do you think?

I think the next one will have a full page picture of Mark Hudson in it, but you will have to colour it in yourself.

The matchday football programme is as dead as the Dodo - might as well ask me whether I'd prefer to wear a cap, a bowler or a trilby to the match!
Who's nicked me rattle!!

They asked me and I said I'd like a programme made from sweaty fish and chip paper. Who says the club doesn't listen to fans?

Don't buy one to be fair but the newspaper is a naff idea it really is. Think sales will plummet.
Keep it to about 15 pages. A quiz, basic info and stats, managers comments, basic info on opposition, some interesting article like Des Loughrey used to write many years ago. Just something to read just before KO and at half time. And sell it for a quid. I'd get one every game then.

You mean that, if we could get all the info that is free and up-to-date live-time and on line, but print it out, on paper, you would pay a £1.00 for it? Hmmmmmmm Have you written many business plans?

No. But I don't have to have done to know that most people would rather hold something that actually exists and that you don't need the eyesight of a buzzard to read , than take a bleedin lap top to a game or stand there endlessly faffing about pressing the wrong buttons on a mobile either. Nor would i like to send each page to my printer so i could staple them together later on should i like to keep it as a souvenir.
for a quid id rather actually have a programme. Maybe thats just me, but I doubt it somehow!!.

I have to say that the idea of a basic programme for a quid, containing the core information, has much to commend it. Hard copy is needed if you want to analyse fixtures/results/table/squad etc with mates but we don't need most of the waffle that is in the the present programme.

Still think that doing the same content on newsprint for £1.50 and glossy for £3.00 would cover both bases. The one I read was really good, but doesn't fit on a shelf and won't last the winter.

I was surveyed. I thought the old programme was good value for money.I wanted more articles from the past but was generally happy with how it was.

The last edition was a joint one for the Charlton and Forest games. I wonder how many duplicates they sold to those not paying attention!
