Mr Hughes' post is easier to understand than bloody Shakespeare!

Was there today, Wallace not at fault; 100% Hudson's mistake. With hindsight perhaps Wallace could have let him carry on; it was Cameron Jerome after all !!!

He's not a patch on lynch who's distribution is better and probably wouldn't have been done for their goal.

Here we go. Ward has left so you now have to find someone else to pick on. Prey tell who else would you play in his position tonight.

We always miss lynch. Shame he's a bit injury prone. You worry for Saturday without him we have no pace or anyone who can pass it out from the back.

I'm entertaining Hungarians in Watford tonight so not seen the game, but surely it's time for an OFFICIAL word on why Gerrard isn't playing?
My opinion is he's our first or second best available centre half in footballing terms.
If you prune your squad to the bare bones (which I'm positively behind as a concept to refresh the squad for a new manager), then to leave your best players at home becomes an even more ridiculous idea.
TELL US.

I thought CP gave him a 2 week prognosis and it will be 2 weeks since Leeds. Might make it, might be touch and go, might be out for longer, I dunno. Does anyone have an idea?

Wasn't there tonight so can't comment on Wallace either way, but Harry Maguire went on loan to Wigan earlier today. I wouldn't have said no.

I'm no Murray Wallace fan but he has been better than Hudson on plenty of occasions this season. I don't get the Hudson hype.

Read a press conf thing today or yesterday and I'm sure CP said Lynch was a few weeks away yet. Ah, thanks. 2:16pm on Examiner...Chris Powell... "Joel Lynch is slow and is still a number of weeks away. I saw him today and I said I am glad to see you, I hope that he is able to join the group soon."

if your afraid of pace then running away from it and letting it get at full tilt nearer your goal is an almighty clusterfuck of a tactic..
get close and at least make a challenge, the daft bookings we got tonight could have been swapped for 3 challenges/fouls when it was evident we were about to get right in the shit..
professionalism, we lack it..

Aye, think we've missed a bit of cynicism for a while. Might as well get hung for a lamb than a sheep.

I bet he's glad to see him......milk turns faster than the two centre backs we had out tonite! Hudson plays well with lynch IMO.....they are a good foil for each other. Hudson and Wallace are like laurel and bloody hardy!!!!! Wallace just isn't good enough - positionally and aerially poor, not strong enough and at times so slow on the ball it was embarrassing!

what do people expect when hes partnered with someone equally as slow? asking for trouble with no pace in the partnership, looks a lot better alongside lynch

Disapointing to hear Lynch out a while. The worry for Murray is he may improve postionally but he won't get any quicker and that does not bode well for a career, certainly at this level.

If i was a striker i wouldnt lose sleep the night before knowing i was playing against him the next day, loses his man to easily.how many times have we seen him be the last man 5 yards behind the striker bearing down on goal.we still need a centre half imo cos he is not the answer

Not good enough and based on the times I've watched him I can guarantee he won't make it here. The lad runs like he's 60 year old. Its like watching thoroughbred race horses agaist a Blackpool donkey. Sorry but it's true.

Maybe we should give Edgar a whirl in central defence. We can't go on like this every time lynch is out

He's not a player who divides datm opinion is he. No one apparently thinks he's up to it or ever really likely to be.
You wonder whether we might be after a loan CB? Lynch unfortunately is just too injury prone and our defensive record when he's out surely won't have gone unnoticed to Powell.
One thing I do know is Powell knows how to defend. He was an out and out defensive full back, read the game well and very disciplined. This bodes well for us this summer when we must make a quality signing. It's am absolute priority over any other & we need to commit a large slice of the budget to it.
If it means playing 3 cbs or dropping Hudson when lynch is fit then so be it.
If we want consistency and thus be in and around the top 10 then we must be better at the back. When we're not at our best like tonight we can pick up points with 1-1s or shutouts and develop unbeaten runs.
