If i was a striker i wouldnt lose sleep the night before knowing i was playing against him the next day, loses his man to easily.how many times have we seen him be the last man 5 yards behind the striker bearing down on goal.we still need a centre half imo cos he is not the answer Have to agree Kaykie - when he's played it's invariably the man he's marking who's got in front of him and scored. I think it's a combination of lack of pace and frequent loss of concentration. He's done this regularly since he came to Town.I don't want to be too critical of him but as soon as you saw that central defensive partnership you knew we were in trouble. Teams do their homework on us and without "sicknote" Lynch we're always going to concede.

Wallace and hudson both shocking tonight 2 centre backs on loan please or pick gerrard The combination is shocking, not helped by Smith being fairly slow for a fullback either. On that basis, as much as he may be an improvement, I don't think Gerrard would be a great partner for either of these. Lynch is looking more and more like the most important player in the squad

I must be blind because what I saw most was him making errors, dodgy passes and quite often losing his man. Just shows how people see things differently!

Made a couple of mistakes first half (one very nearly cost us) but played very well 2nd half, in particular one quality last ditch tackle in the box.

Definitely blind. He played very well bar a couple of mistakes. You obviously are missing Ward cause you have to pick on someone.

The Tommy Smith booking that could of been a Red came from Wallace getting skinned out wide. I hope he develops into a top player for us but rite now he isn't. Get Lynch straight back in the team when fit.

He made a good last ditch tackle but it was last ditch because if not he'd been beaten in a 1 on 1. Could of cost us big time when Smith got booked after he megged out wide and left for dead. One hospital ball to Vaughan too. I don't hate the lad and I think he still may develop in to a good cb but I don't think he is now.

Outstanding today in my opinion. The first side view I've had of a game this season and he Showed real ability to remain balanced and not flat footed to make some crucial interventions. A but prone to a ball over the top down the channels at times and his distribution can be a bit suspect but has the makings of a top centre back on today's performance and

Butterfield, Hogg and Smithies the obvious 3. The rest all much of the same. The only excellent thing I saw him to was that stretching tackle inside our own box, but that was when his own man in a one on one nearly beat him. I'm not saying he was shite just that I don't think he had a particularly good game.

Murray was solid tonight, good physical presence. Likes to give the ball to feet aswell which makes a big difference at times.
