I don't believe anyone lost faith in DH and I was disappointed that he appeared to think that enough had. That said we still have our sensible budget and approach so let's remember that when things aren't going so well. That said I think many were right to ask what was going on last season and through the summer...but, as ever, DH has acted and looked to address the areas that needed addressing.
If he left tomorrow he's done more for HTAFC than anyone in the last 60 years...long may it continue and let's hope that our new manager also has that commodity that even DH cannot buy, and we've hardly be blessed with, and that' LUCK...if anyone deserved that it's DH

He probably needs to have a white boarding session with Mr Clibbens where they discuss humility and how to display it.

We're not special, all clubs have them, but they can be a bit damaging and he felt he wanted to give a bit back. I think there were quite a few falsehoods being circulated by fans too- misconceptions about Wilson's role and level of investment. No point in letting those inaccuracies lie especially in this age of social media. The other thing is Hoyle is a self made guy from moderate means & he was genuinely pissed off at some of the crap being spouted on here and other social media when he was personally bankrolling the club to he tune of £3m every season. Yes maybe he could ignore it or bite his tongue but he's human and a town fan and that's jay makes him a terrific chairman in my opinion. Superb window for the club- some hugely promising acquisitions and we got top value for two talented players who had perhaps gone a bit stale.

I reckon Clibbens had chinned a few large glasses of red in celebration of the Hudson signing, and got an overwhelming urge to retweet some of his critics. I don't agree with what he did, but I can understand why he was tempted to do it.

I don't know dean. Probably never will. I'm not mates with him, don't pretend to be. He runs the football club I support and is doing a great job. Credit where Credits due. It must be difficult for him in some ways because no matter what he does he can't win. He doesnt buy X player it's we're not ambitious enough. He doesnt go after X manager it's a huge mistake and he must go.
He bought a player last night. Much needed to shore up our creaking defence.
A bloody good player.
He should be congratulated.
Pretty soon though he'll be back to square one with 'we need this' and 'we need that'.
The guy cannot win.

I think we've made some really good signings with no manager. Can Dean go the whole way and offload a few in the loan market?

Before the love-in reaches lower Earth orbit I'd like to add a bit of negativity so to be shot down and say we are desperately lacking up front, and that it's hardly sprung itself upon us and we could, as a club look back and regret covering for it.
JV. What happens when. Well you know.

Wears' his heart on his sleeve, says what he thinks and does what he says. When you look back to what we were six years ago, its clear to me he has been a revelation. He may not get everything right but he doesn't hide from his mistakes and keeps working for the benefit of the club. Great chairman.

Yeah I imagine from business point of view having Pato and perhaps Stead rolling around the payroll and not moving on makes it difficulty from a financial sensibility to bring in more strikers permanently when trying to run a club properly. We have done some cracking business though, serendipitously or not (Butterfield) who knows, but I hope we do get a striker in on loan who is of a good calibre to take the pressure off JV and let him rehabilitate properly and not over-rely on him whilst still offering Nahki some proper support.

JV. What happens when. Well you know. I think this will be addressed in the loan market. JV is fit for now so no major rush. A new manager first. Our record in developing players combined with our facilities should have a few premier league teams interested. I hope.

I'm starting to get the impression that we have fingers in many pies and that our very discreet way of operating in is starting to bear fruit in that the bigger clubs see us as a very professional club to do business with. I wouldn't be surprised if we made a small number of interesting loan aquisitions once the big clubs have taken stock of what they've got left and don't need.
