Yes and I emailed them about it but they didn't even bother to reply. That's what I call customer (dis)service I rang them up today. Very rude guy said it's no different if you bought a coat and saw it in a sale a week later. My reply I'd keep the receipt and take it back to get the cheaper one. He had no reply. Whole point in advance tickets is you get the cheapest ones, im on a really early train for £15 more than this sale albeit from Hudds than Leeds or Wakey. Just had an email today from East Coast saying that if you found a cheaper price elsewhere they'll refund the difference. www.eastcoast.co.uk/rail-travel/your-ticket/price-promise/Not sure how it applies to where they offer a cheaper price themselves.

I'd say ring them up but twice I've hung after 10+mins on hold. Pathetic customer service.

I got the email and I've used the link to email them again. I doubt they'll honour it but have given it a whirl. Good point about taking the coat back but advance tickets always state no changes or cancellations don't they?

If they don't honour it just continue to hound them and take it all the way up to the chief exec!
