Heard a lot of 'what's happened to the north stand loyal' etc etc today. Think we've shown however that if the team gives us something to sing about we will. Thought pre-match and first 15/20 was cracking. One thing that does need to be worked on is the noise when we are losing or the game isn't as exciting as we'd hope. At 1-0 down in the second half that was the perfect time for the fans (ALL the fans, not just those in the North Stand) to get behind the team. It didn't happen and it's been noted. I think what people need to remember is that we are a group of 7/8 guys, we can't changes attitudes over night. It'll take time and if people think it'll be perfect after 3 home games then they are deluded. The group at Palace has taken about 10 years to gather enough momentum to be talked about outside of the Palace local area. At the moment we are the catalyst. We are trying to improve the match day experience for fans and add colour to the stands. We can't force folk to sing! This season is a massive learning curve for everyone involved, we are learning stuff with every game that passes and hopefully people will give us a but of slack when things don't go exactly to plan & keep supporting what we are trying to do.

How about trialling a cheerleader type person down the front to start and keep the singing going. Give them a megaphone if necessary. Someone like Ainley would be a perfect cheerleader. As long as he dosent insist on wearing lycra and pom poms.

That idea has crossed my mind, would help to spread the singing, especially if we had the use of a megaphone, although not sure it'd be allowed!
Whatever we have though, we' still get lulls in the noise, especially when the performance on the field give us nothing to shout about.
We need to change the perception for that of the team need to give fans something to cheer about, and make it so the fans need to try and inspire the team, which is something that won't happen over night. Until that happens, and while ever we are getting beat, it'll be as quieter than we'd hope for.
We'll go again Tuesday though and keep working at it until the tide starts to change.

We'll learn more from days like yesterday than we will when the going is good.
We've put our heads above the parapet in the NSL, and folk will rightly have a go if the atmosphere doesn't live up to expectation. Yesterday was poor, we can blame the players if we want but that's not what were about is it?
Definitely missed having a drummer in there yesterday, despite what some people say about the drum, there are times when you just plain need one to get some simple basic chanting going.
We also need to look into getting somebody at the front, who can get a few songs going.
Onwards and upwards though, despite all the criticism, I can honestly say that it would have been a lot worse if we had been in the kilner bank yesterday, and the goal celebration when Steady scored was sweet.

Think a capo with a megaphone would do the world of good. Needs a confident guy/girl (ie the GUAH bloke) to get the crowd going everytime it goes quiet. Also flag wavers need to keep their flags up, liked Scoffs ' your bloody flags, they cost a fortune' comment!

I think we really would benefit from the drummer and one or two lads down at the front 'capo' style... Co-ordinate the clapping and stuff! Also think we need a long lasting chant that we can sing when it's quiet (like the second half) ... Blue and white army gets a bit boring! So maybe some of the European style chants? I know that nobody will know them but if we keep using them they'll catch on. Just a thought I nominate myself

And just because yesterday was poor doesn't mean we should give up... We're still learning and even Palace had the same stick from home and away fans when they started... And look where they are now!?

One guy a few rows in front of me spent most of the 2nd half making negative comments about nsl in a loudish voice so plenty of people could hear him, not just his mates.

Keep it Going Guys. It is up to all 3 sides of the stadium to keep the atmosphere going, hopefully affected by on field play. I am behind this NSL support totally ,Even though I sit in the Kilner Bank,my choice! It is not a contest between Kilner or NSL or DG we are all in this together . Come on all you Knockers no matter where you sit get behind the team ,That Is What We Go For!!!

Maybe something like this? Now... We could sing this with the NSL and Kilner involved, meaning that noise will be flowing all around the ground. Also, the people in the rest of the stadium will be encouraged to join in!
I think we could sing this when the atmosphere is dead too, and it's a song to get behind the team... HUUUUUUUUDSFIELD COME ON YOU BOYS IN BLUE YORKSHIRES BLUE AND WHITE
