Even league two managers are turning them down, it's over'! They are down! To be fair though, the bloke at Burton who has turned them down has had a flying start and in 12 months time could be in the same division but have the momentum of a newly promoted side.

Wonder what happened to the 28,000 'fans' they took to Wembley in the playoff finals. Don't like Blackpool after they bricked our coaches in 2005 but they are a proper football club and it is sad to see them struggling with off field matters. I was on that coach.....and I was royally pissed off, I didn't get home till god knows what time. One of the few times I actually used the coach since I was a kid and it gets bricked!! Jacko came onto the coach too when he found out. I was on a coach that got bricked, in the late 70's, from Heckmondwike. Problem was we were at Swansea or Newport (memory is fading), it was during the winter months and we froze all the way back to 'ecky. Then I had to get on my moped and ride home. I don't think I've ever been as cold. Those were the days......

Blackpool FC is not a good place to be just at the moment. Been checking their fans board for the last 2 weeks. Thank God that we have people at the top of the club that give a damn.

Seem to be offerring people the managers job whilst they still have one. Is this not something the Football League should be looking into. Whilst I am sure it is not illegal it does sort of go against the spirit of the game. When I looked at their message board a couple of weeks ago I did sort of think it was funny all that was going on over there. SHAME ON ME really as these are clearly passionate people, who care dearly about their club, what a horrible situation to be in. There - that makes me feel all positive about town again.

As I posted earlier you have got to be sympathetic with the "real" Blackpool fans, it is an awful situation to find themselves in. The general view among the ones I know is that Oyston will get the final parachute payment and then look to sell the club on...under his terms of course.
The big fear for Blackpool is being overtaken not just by PNE but also Fleetwood.
It really does put our "concerns" into perspective. What could we do with a season of Premiership cash?

Coach surrounded by Blades' fans - back window put through - then loads of 'gobs' exchanged, both ways, through empty window ......disgusting!!! Still, this match was a real 6-pointer (4 points in those days!) - and I'm pretty sure we got a 1-1 draw that day, and won the return back at Leeds Road and subsequently the title............Glory Days!!

Think I was 1 row behind the window that got hit (got little bits of glass all over my clothes but wasn't hurt). Woman in front who got the worst of it if memory serves was taken to HRI on the team coach and Jacko gave her £20 to get a taxi home.

Was that when Yorkshire still played at Bramhall Lane and it was a 3 sided ground. Remember seeing Tony Currie and Woodward playing there against us. I think they got promoted the year after us?

How the hell do you drink meth? Meths, not meth You have to filter it quite fine to get that dye out which is put in deliberately to stop people drinking it. A loaf of bread works well allegedly

Yes, you're right about the three sides....but think this was a few years before Tony Currie! Woodward played against us; he was their star - and what a player!!

Currie played regularly for Sheffield United from at least 1969-70 onwards. He played against us both times in 1969-70 and in 1971-72.

Wow! Hadn't realised he was there in 1970. Maybe he didn't need to do as much when they had Woodward....just pass it to him and let him run.
Then when Woodward left ( or retired?) he took on the responsibility, and mantle, of 'main-man'. Whatever, they were both brilliant footballers.
