I missed tonight's game. Did Wigan drop a goal as a piss take? Yup. He'd missed a few conversions and was being ironically jeered by the Wigan fans (which I think was eventually getting on his nerves!).

If anything it proves how any team sport is also about 'on the day'. Beating the shield winners (albeit with 12 men) a few days ago, to getting embarrassed a few days later...
The reason they get another chance is because across the season they did quite well and hit the top 4. If they hadn't and ended up in the remaining p/o places then it would have been sudden death, which is where they are now... That seems pretty fair to me and actually rewards performance across the season, whereas the football p/o's don't offer any sort of advantage whether you finish 3rd or 6th...
Another abject performance for the Giants next week and it'll be them heading for the beaches...

Seasons over (as it should be after last night) we play probably Leeds at home next, win that its the clubcall bollocks and probably back to Wigan - no chance. One their day they can beat anyone but they cant string 3/4 big game wins together (top Bottlers) players aren't good enough and the mental fortitude is missing. Davy's shenanigans has lost support from a large section of Town fans, appealing to them to attend Giants matches isn't on and is pointless until Davy isn't the owner anymore. So Ken you are appealing for more support I appeal to you as both a Town and Fartown supporter to be proactive by showing a gesture of reconciliation by first relinquishing the title of Huddersfield Town life President !
