we have already gone backwards thinking that defending at all costs was the way forward. going further backwards and asking for previous managers who in truth managed in a totally different league to come back and save us wont help.

I am quite frankly amazed that Herbert Chapman hasn't even made the shortlist for the last two vacancies. Is there bad blood between him and Dean? It smacks of shortsightedness. Deano, sort it!

Do you think that counts for nothing? Yes, he did a decent job for us in the 2nd tier (if I've managed to convert your post into English correctly) 15+ years ago. He's also passionate about the club, then again most who post on here are as well. Either way, lets get him in, if he doesn't do well in the first three games we can always throw our toys out of the pram and demand he be replaced. That approach has been working pretty well for us the last couple of years. I'm pretty sure you speak for about 5% of people on her with your OP

Jacko has been pushing old timers round in wheelchairs for the last 5 year, how does that qualify him to manage a Championship team?
Give Powell a chance, although I must say, he's not really endearing himself to the fans at the minute.

You're sure Powell will get sacked in January? He's had 3 games in charge. We were hardly brilliant when he arrived. Give the man a chance.

I don't underrate Jacko's achievements here, not at all, but I think there's more chance your namesake will make a reappearance with us.

we concede goals either attacking or defending.. we don't score because we don't attack as a team enough.. ergo, we will concede at the moment whatever we do but we wont score playing this way.. its a no brainer for me.. having a shot on target might be a start?? losing 3-0 with nothing from an attacking sense is pretty pitiful...

HTFC Manager its an ongoing problem
What we really need is a McCarthy or an Allerdyce, but these guys are few and far between!
Whenever Dean has sacked our manager we seem to get the best of who's available. But the simple problem is, that the who's available list, just aint up to what we need, at the time we change managers!
Not saying Powell is deffinately gonna fail, hope to God he's a blinding success, but.......

Hiring jacko now would be like watching ' mike Bassett England manager'!! Been out the game too long, a good player and manager for town ominous the past but if he got the job, it would cause uproar,

"There is no other human being on this planet who has the blue and white running through his veins more than p,Jackson". Have you read his recent publication? He says Bradford are his team and that saying he loves any other team is just said when he's at the club in question (don't know the exact quote). He does think highly of Town but don't be fooled into thinking he bleeds blue and white. Bradford are his team, it's in black and white.

Nor me. Chris Powell is a good choice but has he the players to get the job done this season? That is the big question. For me I think a huge clearance sale is in order and I was hoping for one during the closed season but it did not happen.
