Really impressed me today, Town have been crying out for a centre forward of his ilk for a long time now. How does the loan market work? If we've only got him on a months loan are we able to extend it if we wish? So good to see someone win aerial balls up front for us, total breath of fresh air when he came on, also looks to have a good touch and vision and not quite as slow as i expecteted. I like him. Sign him up

He looked good today but it helped that Millwall were terrible. Keen to see what he brings to us over the next few weeks, but I'm optimistic. His experience will help massively, you could see him offering instructions to Wells from the moment he came on, which is just what we need in Vaughan's (constant) absence

He must have signed up for the rhodium, iridium and osmium News Network memberships to get info info like this. Does show though the difference between someone who actually knows, and attention seekers who are just full of shit.

I'll admit I was a bit eh at first, seemed okay today tried his hardest which I like to see but I don't think we should be signing a 33 year old on a permanent deal like a lot are saying

I'm presuming that someone has already trawled through google images for "Grant Holt" signs. Just let me know if you have and I won't waste the time and effort.

Not based on one performance no but if he has a good month there's no reason why we wouldnt want another older/experienced head in the side. Most of the team are pretty young and with Hudson too might bring some essential experience to us for 2-3 years

Could be the new rocket ron :-D Sent from my GT-I9505 using proboards

There's no reason to rush into anything after one sub appearance, let's see how the month goes and take it from there. He reputedly cost Wigan £2M on a 3yr deal at the start of last season I wouldn't want to pay any sort of substantial fee for him.

He was a right handful, we don't do players like that at town, enjoyed that.

I don't think we can take anything for Grant'ed but I think he could help Holt the decline.

Defenders hate players like him, he may have been poor at Wigan but he was good today.
Now for two massive away games.

On the evidence today he wants to play and that's the key thing for me. Never relied on pace and mobility, so not an issue - has quality at the top level and if he wants to come and play will be an excellent signing......and not just for what he does personally. Brings others Into the game and wells looked like a different player when he came on.

I said before the game that we would see in an instant if he was up for the move/the challenge. Boy, was he up for it!

Made space for Wells,Bunn and Scannell, allowed the midfield to push forward knowing the ball wasn't coming straight back.

Some pathetic idiots on here at times. What an awesome coup for us - thank you and well done Dean. Grant Holt is a superb loan signing and is exactly what we've needed. His passion was evident and he wanted the ball and was urging his team-mates on and giving instructions. He gave a massive amount of confidence to the whole team and cemented the win for us.

How on earth can he justify all these plaudits from the time he was on the pitch todsy just baffles me.I will judge him when we get a full game from of him but wish him success.UTT.
