Will be picking my ticket up for this tomorrow. Can't see this being a massive draw for town fans, reckon they'll be around 400, anyone else got theirs yet? Or planning to?
I can see us playing really well over the next two home games, then letting all the hard work go to waste in this one and getting a spanking. Hope I'm wrong though!

My days of schlepping to East Anglia are over, must have been to Norwich and Ipswich about 10 times between em, its a bloody long way.

Not for me it's not. 20 minutes on the train. I will get some serious stick from the locals if we get beat, though.Grant Holt will get shedloads of abuse given his Norwich connections ,I'm sure he'll cope!!

I'll be there. Got a good feeling about it. We haven't coped with Murphy in the air in the recent past but I think Hudson will Hoover him up.

I intend to be there but haven't got round to getting a ticket yet. Does anybody know if there are plenty left, or should I be getting on with it?

Lived in Sudbury for 17 years so all my friend are Ipswich supporters who I'll be supping pre and post match with. Hope we get 4-6 point over the next 2 home games so that we take more to this. We always have a great sing song in the stand at Ipswich and also in the pub near train station before hand. I'd take a draw, but I haven't had the joys of gloating a win over Ipswich yet!! Will be a great game that I'm sure! Holt will be bang up for this which will hopefully rub onto the rest of the team...I've seen that some Norwich fans are talking about coming in the away end...

Just bought mine too. Hadn't realised it was that weekend and had arranged to see friends on Sunday the 26th in Braintree, with a stopover courtesy of Premier Inns Chelmsford on the Saturday night. Whilst not quite on the way down from Teesside it's not much of a diversion, so well worth the £19 for us over 60s. Pleasant surprise when I saw the topic this morning, really looking forward to it now, as I had nothing else to do on the Saturday anyway.

The last time I went down East Anglia way was to Norwich just before Christmas a few years ago, there was 6ft of snow and the trains coming back were badly delayed I missed my connection at Peterborough and evntually got home at about midnight!! Although I did get talking to a nice female Norwich fan who was making her way back to York, what a trek to home games!!!

Here we go starting lineup/formation
3-5-2
--------------------------------------------------Smithies --------------------Peltier----------------------Hudson-----------------Lynch ----Smith---------------Hogg-------------------Butterfield--------------Coady-----------Robinson ---------------------------------------Wells----------------Bunn/Holt
Subs: Murphy Holt/Bunn Majewski Billing/Ward Scannell Wallace Dixon
4-2-3-1
-------------------------------------------------Smithies ------------Smith------------------Hudson-----------------------Lynch---------------robinson -----------------------------------Coady------------------------Hogg -----------------Scannell-----------------------Butterfield---------------Bunn ------------------------------------------------Holt
Subs: Murphy Peltier Wells Wallace Dixon Ward Majewski/Billing
Lots of competition really difficult to guess how CP will go, but imo it will be 352 like last home win

No wonder you got home at midnight.... He'd have been later if he hadn't had moaned about what she was wearing, her hairstyle, her kissing technique, etc. Now that's a bit condescending... To be fair to AR, he has been a lot better recently. Probably due to the fact he got a bit of a slapping off the lady admin on the Town 606 forum, a while back, for being a lazy git. Or it could have something to do with a certain MR not being around. Who knows...

It seems like most people are more optimistic about this than I am haha..
The pub across the road from the station has been pretty decent the last couple of years, always been a number of town fans in there, would recommend that.

How many tickets have we sold?
What's everyone wearing?
Where are we meeting?
What time is everyone getting there?
Anyone else travelling up from London?
-so many questions

The Fat Cat - Spring Road, about 2 miles from the station. Out of the station, jump straight on to the 66 bus and ask to go to Sainsbury's (until recently a pub called the Golden Key, another one bites the dust), from there walk down Nelson Road which is on the same side of Woodbridge Road as said former pub. This will take you to Spring Road and you'll see the Fat Cat across the road, or it might be less bother to get a taxi straight from the Station to the Fat Cat, which opens at 11am. Anyway, the Fat Cat is a former branch pub of the year which has at least ten ales on at any one time. Plus it has no TV, fruit machines, etc!
The Dove Street Inn - another former branch pub of the year which has a very wide selection of ale, including it's own brew, and they do good food. Turn left out of the Fat Cat and keep going down Spring Road hill, which leads to St Helens Street, The Dove is on your left after almost exactly one mile.
The Mulberry Tree - our current cider pub of the year which has about 8 ales on. Turn left out of the Dove, after about 3 mins you'll see the former Odeon - a large silver coloured building on you right - the MT is on your right just after that.
The St Jude's Brewery Tavern - our current pub of the year, it's rather quirky! Plus they sell meat pies. Turn right out of the MT and keep going along Crown Street, you'll see a Wetherspoons on your left called the Robert Ransome and then one on your right called the Cricketers - though both have a "no away colours" policy. Anyway, Crown Street becomes St Matthew's Street. The Jude is on the left a few doors after Tescos. Turn left out of the Jude, Portman Road is the first on the left - a 10 minute walk to the ground.

You mean a spanking like we got at Wolves? But our past away record at Wolves was actually very good whereas it's not so great at Ipswich. Hence people being more inclined to expect a poor result there.
