Got a well derserved terrific ovation. Best of a very poor blackpool back four imho.........but was the right time for him to leave last summer. Hudson more than a step up in class.

The man clapped the Blackpool fans at the end he made a point of going over and clapping to them like he did at town. He then made a bigger point of clapping all the other three sides with his arms in the air and thumbs stood up. A class moment and oozed respect on both sides.

You must be boiling hammy, I haven't even got the heating on and I'm in shorts and t shirt. In the second half when Hogg flew in late on their guy then fronted up to PC He just showed his class, didn't react and calmed the situation. The other 3 in his back four were hopeless all game. It was reminiscent of watching him for us in his early days with williams, Trotman or boom boom.

One of their other players had an armband on but they only had 1 real captain today. Without him we'd have run riot. I felt sorry for him trying to organise that lot in the first half as they were all over the place.
Must have made 3 or 4 top blocks in the box to prevent goals (albeit one of them he didn't have a clue about). Imo their best player today, although admittedly that isn't saying a lot.

Class fella. I thought he played well too and shone in an admittedly poor Blackpool team.

Great reception for a great man, but he got absolutely ruined by Holt. Lost most headers, got done for speed, dropped too deep and distribution was off for most of it. League 1 quality, Premier League attitude.

Holt also put him on his arse in their penalty area in the first half. Much as I have always rated PC, I had to smile at that.

not sure it was blackpool that were bad, more us that were good...'pool drew at boro 1-1 and brighton 0-0 in last 2 away games and only conceded 6 goals in 5 away games priorto today, that doesn't sound like a crap defence to me...we were just too hot to handle imo

Put a superb block in second half which NSL appreciated chanting "one Peter Clarke" which he acknowledged whilst organising the corner.
As when with us, every negative thing he did, he made up for with a blinding +++++

Thankfully Captain Clark got the reception befitting of a town legend, was nice to be able to show our appreciation. He took us an awful long way, his play off pen will live long in the memory, the epitome of a captain in every way. Top man!

Can anyone else think of any other returning player that both got as good a reception as that as well as giving out a recognition like that before? I can't !

Darren Bullock and his Town shirt when returning with Swindon springs to mind, remember Rocket Ron getting a decent reception on his return, we do love the bleed for the shirt type players at town

Great reception both pre and post match (and great to see him clapping the Town fans post match). Obviously a great pass for our 4th, but at the same time he made some of the sort of blocks that we were more than used to when he was with us that prevented goals.
