The biggest question of the day is who ordered a megaphone that actually makes your voice quieter?

Powell knows what he's doing- like dean said he wants someone who'd been there and done it. I think Powell's charlton in the championship were a bit defensive but that was a lot down to the players at his disposal. We have some real attacking quality in our squad and Powell is starting to utilise it. 10/12 is a terrific return after he's become more familiar with his squad and after the horror show at leeds.

As much as I was happy with the appointment of both Powell and Robins, things change fast in football.
I'm pretty sure it would be possible to dredge up a similar thread for Robins from 12 months ago.

As happy as I am with Powell and I'm enjoying things at the moment more than any time under Robins, I can't help thinking it's a cycle and the fickle bunch will soon be calling for his head after a run of games without a win. Two games without a win I would guess.

Agree, we started the season well with both robins and grayson...key will be seeing if powell can continue it past january (where he might have a few quid to spend) One thing i will say that seems a bit difference to the previous managers, we seem to have desire and spirit ive not seen since early clark

We have had plenty of players with ability who weren't performing consistently or with enough desire and team spirit.

Too early to judge yet but I am impressed by his round pegs in round holes philosophy. Quite a few managers would feel the need to squeeze Wells into that team.

I was open minded Malc. Lennon, Malkey, Houghton etc. When Powell left Charlton, they were bottom of the division, and soon improved after he left. I feared he might take us in that direction, but delighted with him so far.

When players start losing confidence in management, as was beginning to look the case with Robins, then there's usually an immediate upturn in performance when they go. However as we didn't appoint a permanent manager straight away then in some respects Lillis got the benefit of that reaction. I'm not saying he did a poor job but after a few games some of the results didn't go our way (Watord away, Forest at home). Then Powell came in and as the performances continued to slide he came in for some stick. It takes time to get a proper view of how the players are, try a few different things and it was unfortunate that one of those 'experiental' period games was a local derby with Leeds. But Powell's no mug, he was learning things all the time and sorting out what needed doing. I think turning things back round after only 3 games is pretty good management. There will be some tough times still to come before the season's out, let's try to keep behind him in those periods, it's easy to do it when we're winning.

I think we'll all be able to make a better judgement after November the 8th assuming a certain loan striker returns to his parent club (god forbid).

Incredible after the shambles at elland road how he has galvanised the boys. Obviously holt has made a big difference but the togetherness through the staff just is a powerful thing at the moment. The big decisions are getting made, who would have thought wells would be sitting on the bench fully fit? the captaincy stripped off Peltier? A manager who puts the team first. It's early days and we can do better but tuesday can't come soon enough for me! cl.ly/image/412E0G2o023AHe deserves all the credit he is getting. I was one of those with real concerns after his first few games in charge, but I am glad he has turned it around and got us getting results whilst playing well at the same time. We all know things can change quickly, especially in the Championship, and that Town will have poor runs in the future, but at the moment we are on the up and we should all enjoy it. I really hope we can keep Holt as I think he has been instrumental in the current run of good form - without him I fear we would become toothless up front again. Anyway, we'll worry about that if and when it happens and enjoy the good run while it lasts. I am really confident about getting a result against Brighton and its not often I have been so upbeat going into a Town match. Lets hope it continues.
