Thought it was obvious............IF you can recall the robot Martians, laughing hysterically in the Cadbury's Smash adverts , from the 1970's..........(especially the one which goes "where is this?" - "it is a place called U-D-D-E-R-S-F-I-E-L-D")

A 'Quirkafleeg' is maybe the answer to Grant Holts celebration... I believe it is a dance that you perform by lying on your back waving your legs in the air whilst being surrounded by dead furry animals. Though I'm probably way off the mark, but that's my guess. *If anyone knows what the hell I'm on about, well done and you get 10 points.

Looked like some sort of turtle on its back to me. No idea. Other players didn't join in so I doubt it was planned.

It's because he was sliding on his knees trying to look cool, hit a rough patch and tumbled forward. Then, trying not to lose face, flipped onto his back and pretended that was the real celebration.
We've all done it as kids when sliding or sledging on ice.

Interesting theory, though Holt maybe a little young to remember it!

I think its to do with the fall out at Wigan. Hope so. I think it is a message to Wigan saying that because they didn't want him playing they *Threw the baby out with the bathwater* I could of course be completely wrong!

No it was in reference to the Blackpool owners the Oysten family. Holt was clearly seen to be joining in with the away fans protest. 'A beetle on his back is as good as dead'. This was symbolising the Blackpool fans struggle to rid them of the joke ownership that is killing the club.
