For all the Robins knockers:
Did he keep us up his first season - when a record number sent Posh down
Did we improve our League position in his second season
Did he walk when he felt it was in the best interests of the club when lesser men would have rode it out awaiting a fatter pay off. Earns respect for me holding his hands up
Some will say he didn't get the best from Scannell but ignore that the likes of Clayton, Hammill, Holmes, Beckford showed there best form under Robins. Swings and roundabouts
Decent manager for Town and doesn't deserve some of the stick he gets IMO

How long is he at Acrington for? Just realised, if they beat Yeovil in cup and if he's still there in January he could be playing against Man Utd.

Dunno what Bobbins was trying to do in the Bournemouth game playing him........ I honestly think it was a little protest. The board sacked his backroom team and failed to support him over transfers. That was harsh on Robins who wasn't as disastrous as people now claim. It was harsh on Crooks, but amazed he's lasted this long as it's fairly obvious he'll never make it at any level than if he buckles down and finds a club in the bottom division.

I saw him play against Exeter City ten days ago. He was playing centre forward for some reason and was atrocious. He was subbed after about 55 minutes and Stanley's game picked up immediately. Never in a million years will he make it even to League 2 level.

Sounds like he won't make it In any league.

A lopsided squad with a lack of defensive options, a bucketload of nconsistent widemen some of whom were shoehorned into positions they simply couldnt play in. Add to that a style that suited nobody at the club and hey what a surprise.....we were rubbish!

Yes, if I think im correct he was subbed for Shay McCartan who is only about 20 and he came on and scored. thought he was a cm or cb not a cf

McCartan came on and scored an excellent goal. In fact all five goals in the game were outstanding! I've no idea why Accrington Stanley see Crooks as a centre forward. Apparently he's started three games for them now up front and been subbed in all three. You'd have thought they'd want to assess him as a defender or midfielder in the circumstances, because I can't see how they'd be impressed with his performances up front!

Gone in the summer, He'll be gone in the summer Gone in the summer He'll be gone in the summer
Sounds much better sung in my head (if only the little people in there would stop talking to me at the same time)
Don't want to destroy the lad, but he has had his chance, if he can't step up he has to free up a place in the squad, like a few others.

Have they found out what's his best position yet? Got more positions than the kamasutra that lad!
