Another great game tonight. We are at last beginning to see what this chap is all about. Some tremendous tackles and perfect passing. Well done, mate!

Hogg has been superb in the last two games. Can't help but think Clayton and Norwoods style was detrimental to Hogg's performances sometimes. Butterfield, Coady and Hogg all compliment each other so well, it looks like we may finally have an effective midfield in these three!

I thought he was impressive again tonight, like you say we are finally seeing what he's about.
The one thing I have noticed is, that his passes are always along the ground and are only occasionally more than 15 or 20 yards. He does all the nitty gritty bits that allow Coady and Butterfield to be more expansive.

He looks so much better now he's playing deeper, breaking up attacks, pressing the opposition and playing simple passes. Well done Hogg keep it up.

At Wolves he was playing well up the field and pressing there. It worked well.

Said in the summer he would have a better second season- settled in and injury free. Very consistent at Watford and good schooling at villa. He's befitting from a clear role like the others too. Also playing with Norwood was like being a man short in midfield every game.
Keep it up Hoggy.

Very good again tonight, and so may I add was Joel Lynch who's had 2 decent games as well. Both of them can be key performers for us if they keep this level up.

I wondered whether Hogg would be more of a fringe player this season, with Coady, Butterfield & Majewski being the mainstay of our midfield.
Happy to be proven wrong.

Told you he'd come last season but people we're saying we should play the baby giraffe Oscar Gobern instead! Suicide! Hogg is class.

He has been much better though last few games. Think he was being sarcastic Nick! Anyway, Hogg was always going to be a better player than he showed us in his first season at Town. As I repeatedly said last season, anyone who played virtually the entire season before in that Watford team, was always going to be a good player. The point made above about Norwood & Clayton may very well be true, but the fact is (like Scannell as well), we now have a player showing his true quality & long may it continue.

Chris Powell showed him how to time a pass, no more thuds, just crisp pings........

Powell is managing to get better performances from a number of our players at the moment. Its early days, but the signs are good and some of our under performing players are finding a level of consistent form that we haven't seen before. Long may it continue.

Surely worth a 15 minutes and give butters a rest. He was Knackered last night and we weren't creating anything. I was at the forest game when he mauled us so I've seen him do it.
