The lads all seem to do a decent amount of stuff around the community for which they should all be praised.
If Scannell's up and at em that early, fair play to him.

I'm reliably told Scannell is always the first to put his hand up to do this sort of thing, having met him a couple of times he comes across as just down to earth. Top lad.

As I said in another thread. He told me that under Robins, his head was filled with too much "do this, do that". When Lillis came along, he uncluttered his mind and told him to play his natural game. Lillis gave him the "Arm around" and Powell continued that on. We have always known we had a decent squad. Now Powell is getting them to gel. We are going places this year. TTID

I like the breakfast club initiative and it doesn't surprise me Scanz gets involved. He's a humble lad from South London & was always part of his community. Not all players are saints but it's good we have a base of decent lads. Town have had plenty of good examples over the years like the Clark bros and Dean leads from the front.
I really hope we can sign Holty as he is a top bloke too as well as being a good professional.

Hopefully Scanz kept up his current good form and got all the breakfast on to the plates

How do they decide which players do these sort of things? Do they volunteer or told they have to do it?

Lynch is always out and about in the community as well as Dixon also. Some good lads at the club... One or two of them won't do any of it though as you'd expect (one of them a crowd favourite), but it's to be expected with such a mix of personalities.

If anyone wants to donate to the Town Foundation, you can still do it via a Just Giving page I set up for an event I completed last weekend. Its a really hard working setup, where you know all your money AND MORE (thanks to Dean) is being put to work. www.justgiving.com/NT-WoodlandChallenge

Fulsome praise for any of the lads who contribute to the community and build relationships with the people who effectively fund their generous salaries! Equally well done to Chris Powell - he has worked brilliantly with Lynch/Scannell/Bunn to name but 3 whose consistency has improved markedly since he took the helm. Shame on the small number who wont do any community stuff......in particular the afore mentioned vaughan who should be building bridges with an injury record like his!

There are plenty of so called 'working class' folks who do as little as possible and pretty much nothing unless there's something in it for em. Let's just give credit where it's due.

Why should i give credit to anyone who is doing their job they get handsomely paid for. I do breakfast club every fuckin morning, then go to work and get home about 6. I'll take all the plaudits for that.

I really wanna call you a knob, but at the end of the day as much as you love having a go at others and are more condescending than me, the fact you do stuff like this says you are ultimately a good egg!
