A lass from Derby once told me that all lads from Derby have skinny dicks. Is this true?

Derby fan here. Been browsing this forum for a good while but decided to register to let you know we aren't all wankers like that other Derby pup. Firstly our home form is poor, we are looking superb away when we are given space to play but at home we struggle to break well organised teams down. Millwall held us easily and could have won the game, Wigan closed us down until we ran out of ideas then soundly beat us. If you play a high tempo game, closing down and keep things tight you will do well. Our defence is susceptible to pace down both flanks. Cyrus Christie is a great attacking fullback but can't defend for shit! We are a bit light upfront, Martin is a cheating diving twat who i would despise if he played against us but is a great target man, if you have a big clumsy centre half at the back he'll have to be on his guard. If he should get injured you will have to deal with Leon Best who apparently owns over a hundred pairs of trainers and plays like he's wearing them all at once! Our great strength lies in the midfield with Hendrick, Hughes, Bryson, Dawkins & Russell all streaming forward. Your manager will have to be prepared to constantly change things as they tend to interchange etc. We look slightly better than last season but need to sort out a way to beat organised teams at home or we aren't going up! As far as visiting the Ipro..away fans have been moved into a wedge in the corner to allow a 'Kop' behind the goal, it's worked well so far and the atmosphere has been good. Ignore that other Derby pricks comments about pricing, there may have been a deal but basically we operate a system where if you get tickets very early and get them cheaper, prices increase as the day approaches until you pay a fortune on the day, again it's worked well and crowds are well up on the last few seasons. Best boozer is the Brunswick. www.brunswickderby.co.uk/Turn right out the railway station, and about 400 yards on your left is a great little pub on the corner that will usually let you in if you aren't being too lary. Does limited food but some great beers. After that there is a reasonable harvester near the ground that is ok for families. Enjoy your day out and good luck for the rest of the season.

Your just like the Tree Huggers - living in the past. And like them, youve never won owt worth having, and probably never will. suicide That was just one season and counts for nothing. Derby fans don't care about it, so mention it all you like. The point is that your getting milked the price that your paying for your tickets. Many Derby fans have paid just a tenner to watch what your getting stung for £22 for! Now thats funny! Almost as funny watching a team lose to 10 men at Wembley in a Play-Off final

Great post, thanks Sounds like it'll be a tight game - Powell has got us fighting hard for 90 minutes and sets us up very solidly (hence the current 6 game run) More often than not we play three in the middle of the park, who usually control the game. I guess, like in most Championship games, this is where the match will be won / lost for either side.

I guess, like in most Championship games, this is where the match will be won / lost for either side. Chris Powell is still a hero around these parts. We were stuck in the first division when Jim Smith took over in the mid 90's and he bought in Powell just after Xmas and a couple of seasons later we only just missed out on a UEfA Cup place on the last day of a great Premiership season. He was the first REAL fullback i'd seen at Derby for a decade. I thought we got rid of him too early, he went onto Charlton after and ended up played for England! Good morning all, does anyone know if Derby away will be all ticket for away fans?, I work in Derby (about twenty minutes walk from the ipro so would be a shame to miss it), if it is all ticket how does one get one (as I am no longer a season ticket holder) UTT www.eticketing.co.uk/huddersfieldtown/default.aspxWhat is this drivel?
