Ok its international week but my minds attention on the next home game. What line up and formation given 2 decent away performances that have unfortunately produced no points ? Will Poyet get his debut? Can you leave Wells out of the starting lineup ? I see 4 possible line ups Personally id go 3-5-2 for this Scannell and Bunn wing backs pushed on
-----------------------------------------------------Smithies -----------------------------Smith------------------Hudson-----------------Lynch ----Scannell-----------Coady-------------------Hogg/Poyet---------------ButterfieldCoady-------------------Hogg/Poyet---------------Butterfield-------------Bunn ----------------------------------------Holt------------------------Wells
subs: Murphy Radi Ward Pelts Gerrard Hogg/Poyet Robinson.
alternative 3-5-2
-----------------------------------------------------Smithies -----------------------------Peltier------------------Hudson-----------------Lynch ----Smith--------------Coady-------------------Hogg/Poyet---------------Butterfield----------Robinson ------------------------------------Wells-----------------------Holt
This ias ok but surely Bunn and Scanz have got to start?
OR 4-4-2
-------------------------------------------------Smithies ------------Smith---------------------Hudson---------------Lynch------------------Robinson ------------Scannell------------------Coady------------------Butterfield------------Bunn --------------------------------------Holt---------------------Wells
OR 4-2-3-1
--------------------------------------------------Smithies --------Smith---------------------Hudson---------------Lynch------------------Robinson -------------------------------------Coady---------------Hogg/Poyet ----------------------Scannell-------------------Butterfield-----------------Bunn --------------------------------------------------Holt

Yes it's being broadcast on Sky Sports 1, 12:15 KO. Some trivial match involving Arsenal and Man Utd on same channel at tea time

I'd prob go 442 in this one tbh. I like how one of the strikers drops deep when we're not in possession and it makes a 5 in midfield and the wingers squeeze in which limits the space to the oppositions 3 man midfield.

Really looking forward to this game. I'm normally a bit of a pessimist but I wouldn't be surprised if we hammer them

According to most press sources, CP has hinted that Poyet WILL start. So ... who gets dropped?

Sheff Wed away D0-0W0-2L2-1D1-1D0-0D1-1
They have lost once and drawn 4 in last 6 away
Only conceded 3
Good defence, will say a 1-1

According to most press sources, CP has hinted that Poyet WILL start. So ... who gets dropped? A tricky one. I think it would have to be Hogg. That success with 4-4-2 against Forest has distorted my perceptions of all things that are sensible in the world. I want us to play 4-3-3 but I also want us to play 4-4-2. Who would be a manager eh! I don't like it when they have too many decisions to make though. What sort of shape do the massive play or have we stopped worrying about that sort of thing?

Town on the up, Wendies on the slide, Town at home - William Hill offering 13-10 a Town win - unbelievable value.

The good thing is the options at the managers disposal......both in terms of the names and formations he can use. Only two positions without recognised quality cover for me Smithies v murphy Smith Dixon v Robinson Hudson...lynch...Gerrard...Wallace Scans...ward...hammill...bunn.....lolly Coady....butterfield....hogg...poyet.....majewski.....goburn Holt....wells....vaughan A quality right back and a striker if holt returns to Wigan and I genuinely believe the squad capable of a top half finish assuming no major injuries.

I'd go along with that. You need great cover but it also presents a selection problem.

Forgotten we'd got Poyet! No point in bringing him in if he ain't going to feature.
I'll go 4-3-3/4-5-1 with a midfield 3 of Poyet, Coady and Butterfield.
However, if he puts Poyet on the bench to start, then I think we'll go 4-4-2 with Wells on instead.
Decisions, decisions.
