Jermaine Beckford has joined Preston North End on a loan deal till January, that will be extended in January till the end of the season.
Does this pave the way for Eidur's return?
Sorry, just saying. Rejoins Larry.

Should score for fun in that league. Good signing, they might get auto, as you allude to..... Should bag a few.

Good luck to him. We'd be in League One without him.

Good luck to him! Will score a bag full in that league, if it wasn't for him, we would have been in league 1.

I'd have signed Beckford permanently if it was up to me. Top striker, I know some people can't get past the Leeds thing but he was a top player for Town....sorry Marcus d who is having an epi now after all the positive comments on Jermaine.

Wasn't that only because we couldn't really afford him ? He was great in the Wolves home game I saw. Massive effort he put in too, against our patsies.

He has scored 32 goals since 2010-2011 season in 144 games not a great goal return ratio
But was a good player for us

I think his wage demands were always going to be a massive issue. I believe Bolton paid him 30k a week, town would never pay that. It just doesn't for into there wage structure. He was a good finisher still, but ultimately money was probably the reason we didn't.

I recall Hoyle saying it was a choice of one of Vaughan or Beckford. I think the Beckford we had when he wasn't injured might have been a better choice in retrospect, but it's hard to tell whether Robins would have done any better than Freedman in motivating him. I'm sure he'll do well for Larry.

Great signing by Preston. Grayson seems to get the best out of him. Four ex Town lads in their squad now.

Just seen that Lewis McGugan has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on loan, Chris Eagles has signed for Blackpool and Guy Moussi has signed for Birmingham. Very good signings for each club. They should definitely strengthen them.

Is Tom Clarke Prestons captain? Grayson obviously has him in high regards!

wonder why neil lennon is so quick to get rid of him Was Eagles still at Bolton too? If he was, seems like they're having a clear out.

Cracking signing for them. Not the type of striker we need now we have wells, but would happily have taken him back if not.

A mate of mine is a Bolton season ticket holder and he says Beckford's been shite since the day they signed him. He had a good couple of months for us but apart from that he missed more games than Vaughan.
His record since he left l***s speaks for itself. We've got far better strikers on much less money.

36 year old! Desperation from Bolton if they sign him! Worth having a look I suppose. 2 years older than Hudson (different position, granted). Class player with bags of experience. If they could manage him like Mourinho has with Drogba...?
