I think SpecialUn should present any end-of-season award to him.

His performances this season have merited it, time for him to kick on and find another level of performance & consistency now.
A clear sign for me that there is nothing to be lost making these buggers earn new deals rather than simply awarding them when they are coming into their final year.

Did you go to Fulham? He had an off day against Derby, no doubt, but caused a lot of problems against Fulham and put in a few very decent balls. The neutrals I was with all picked him out as Town's stand out player...

Just need to tie Danny ward down now! Surely they would be in discussions with Danny by now (a la Scanz) if this was their intention? Think all parties will see how they're fixed at the end of the season. He's hardly figured so far so an extension mightn't suit either. If we try and tie him down to twelve more months simply to secure a fee for him should someone come in for him at some point, then it might backfire if no-one's interested. We'd then be saddled with paying him another years wages. Great news about Scannell, though!

Yes I went to Fulham and he was nowhere near our best player. Lynch was, Butterfield a close second.

What - I thought he was excellent at Fulham, had a great battle with a decent fullback, and was a great outball for our defenders / midfielders. He helped us get up the field - and stay up the field for large parts of the game. At Derby the system worked against him. Neither widemen had good games because Coady and Butterfield were so hard pressed in central midfield that they couldn't get their heads up to find Scannell or Bunn with a decent pass. Having said that - I was in the camp that had Scannell as fourth in line for a wide berth at the start of the season and would have been fairly happy to see him go. So well done to Lillis and Powell for finding out what it took to get him playing at his current level.

Given Herbert's previous posts about Scannell, him saying he wasn't shite is quite a shift on his part Sean may win him over yet.

So well done to Lillis and Powell for finding out what it took to get him playing at his current level. I was chatting to a few Fulham fans after and they all thought scanz was our best player. My opinion is less clear as I was too busy jumping up and down singing, although to be fair I was that drunk that I told the Fulham fans it was Harry bunn, drink also my excuse for building a ultimately doomed pint tower on a pool table, chatting up, unsuccessfully , a policewoman, on her horse and encouraging all 3 kids of a well to do Fulham fan to jump into the puddles rather than over them in that flooded park after the game. Ha what a day .....anyways back to scanz, well happy,he has signed. Hope that ' the day that we nearly sold scanz to milwall' gets said a lot over the next few years !
