Lynch is an imbecile. End of. And why Scannell tries to beat his man on pace in injury time whwen he's lost out all game, is baffling to say the least. Thought he had a decent game the pen decision aside

Our fullbacks get turned over far too easily

Poyet was of no benefit to us. Poor. Best thing he did was take the booking for the team at the end. Kept possession OK but at the price of ponderous football.

Think Murphy deserves credit for coming in, looking solid, taking knocks, making saves and keeping the clean sheet.

I'm glad that so far the "Boring Boring Powell" thread below is being treated with the disdain that it deserves Don't bite!

Poyet only addition to the outfield and our play was slowed in comparison to recently. Not going to throw him under the bus just yet but we did not look as good with him in there. I hope he improves and quickens his pace of thought.

Not read any previous as in pub watching on mute surrounded by non-football mates.
Snap thoughts - 2 pretty even teams. Scans and Helan (sp?) had a great battle and both looked like their respective teams motm. Lucky with the 'penalty' they are a good defensive unit yet both teams could have nicked it. Happy with the draw given the way the match ebbed and flowed.

Bit disappointed to be fair. Our wingers didn't have the beating of their full backs. Their wingers probably did slightly better against our full backs. They had the better chances.
Murphy did well.
Wells should have put his chance away
Butterfield worked hard as usual
Some tough games to come. We'll need to play better to get anything out of our next 3

Just watched the match, on Sky (as I could not travel to the game today), whilst occasionally following this thread. Consequently, now feel the urge to record a couple of quick observations / comments:
(1) Thought we were lucky (in truth) to get a Draw. (2) Game completely changed on about the hour mark - Nahki Wells coming on and Conor Coach coming off (with the resulting change in formation) the reason. (3) Town MOM (for my boy and I)- was Sean Scannell. Should also mention Mark Hudson and Jacob Butterfield. (4) Joe Murphy (acknowledging his late save) no threat for Alex Smithies' place. (5) Bit of unfair criticism, on the Thread, about Alex Dixon.

Lucky point to me. Stonewall pen. Glad to see Hudson back to his best and covered the Lynch mistake well.
Thought Poyet did ok but can't quite see why we need him. I think it disrupted us a bit and prefer Coady there anyway. Bunn poor today.
It's getting to be a real dilemma. You know it makes sense to play three in the middle, but we looked more dangerous with two up front.

MotM for me:
1. Scannell
2. Hudson
3. Murphy
Butterfield was solid too.

Why is Wells not starting in these type of games at HOME ? Bunn poor last 2 games, time for Danny Ward to have a start. Scanz looked good but no finished product. Murphy MOM for me and that says it all. Shit game for a local derby take a point when another 2 went begging.

I have taken this from the Sheffield Wednesday board. We were very lucky today. If this had been at the other end I'd have been furious.

Should have won. Should have lost.
Never a penalty, due to their guy being halfway down before Lynch made a challenge. Though had their guy stayed on his feet, it would surely have been a pen anyway. Cheater's comeuppance.

I can see some cases when we should do that but it means leaving Bunn and Scannell out as at Ipswich. If I was the manager I'd be trying to figure out why we didn't dominate the game in the first 60 minutes when we had the 3 in central midfield and they had two. We played some lovely stuff at times when Butterfield was on the ball, but we certainly didn't dominate for long periods. Their two full backs were the best I've seen this season. Bunn couldn't compete, but Scannell had an excellent game.

Look at his arms - ready to dive already after overhitting the ball. One of the ref's good decisions today IMO Book the player looking to simulate.
Poor dive in by Lynch though.
