btw, the con was easy to spot.. not enough incentives to cut power use whilst most of the incentives seem to be to purchase and use the 'new green power' providers? ? I guess most politicians got on the global warming/climate change gravy train very early on..seems they knew they wouldn't really ever have to prove very much to get enough onside to carry it off.. Funnily enough, it's generally agreed that it was Thatcher who invented it to help break the coal miners' unions and bring in nuclear power. The phony-left must've been really pissed off that a true right winger thought of such a multi-decadal bullish!t gravy train before they did, so they hijacked it. At the time, the conjecture (which is what it was - it never rose to the level of a falsifiable real scientific hypothesis) was actually valid but, 40 years of Mother Nature having her say and no evidence (even with fabricated temperature records) is going to see it off eventually. What does this have to do with the topic one might ask ? It's the same topic isn't it - sniveling, little weasels making up some bullshit premise so they can have the moral high ground, dupe low information voters to elect them into positions where they can give themselves money to do absolutely fuck all, except negatively impact humanity (and ironically, the poor the most).

Come on Omar, you can do better than that.
That's effectively a single axis on a graph. The temperature has increased after we have exited the little ice age, with or without man-made CO2. YAY.
To make a correlation with CO2, it would have to have two axes, no ?
Then there's the problem that correlation doesn't equal causation ...
..... and then the further problem that CO2 levels and temperatures don't correlate on any time scale.
So, three steps away from me even being able to disembowel your attempt.
Zero out of Ten, sorry, but thanks for playing.
If you were thinking of becoming a scientist, don't give up your day job.

Dave Whelan threatening to quit morphs in to the world is being conned and taken to the cleaners by the climate change brigade. What a thread.... Funny though. I recently returned to the UK to find the entire population driving around in tiny hatchbacks. The Govt has beat you all in to submission with its emission taxes.
Note: I know its not the entire population and that some of you will have big cars. no need to point that out.

I probably could do better but I am not paid by big oil to disseminate bullshit for a living. There are other graphs that show interglacial warming/cooling patterns and according to them we should be getting colder now rather than warmer. If you rewind 250 million years ago 96% of land/marine life is wiped off the fossil record by global warming, albeit caused by massive amounts of S02/C02 being released from the lava flood basalts of the Siberian traps rather than stupid fucking procrastinating humanity:(

Omar, I wouldn't bother. The same type of folk 30, 40 and 50 years ago would not accept the link between smoking and lung cancer. They probably still don't.

if they could now get Dave Whelan and Malky somehow involved in plot to overheat the world the Guardian would cream itself. Being honest overheating Wigan would not be the worst place to start, followed by Oldham and Bradford soon after. Where's the harm??? I was waiting and hoping natural selection might do the job but it looks like mother nature needs a hand..
skating on the Thames looks to have been put back for a while, after a climate change expert said we could well be doing it in a few years, about 15 years ago, I remember. Still, we have the old pictures and memories of people doing it the last time the World was about to end.
