The average attendance in the NSL is around 650 and I haven't seen anyone who organises the NSL demand the south stand or any other part of the ground based on these numbers. The north stand is fine for now, it's currently sustainable. The south stand isn't. We will see how many go in there on Tuesday 24 feb against Reading and what the average over the season is but tbh I hope its full and you all have a good time my beef is with the I'm alright jack attitude the NSL are adopting When has that attitude ever been adopted by the NSL? It seems to me that when ever anybody who supports, uses or organises the NSL that they can't have either an opinion or allowed to post facts without some town fan coming in with both barrels. You said let's see how many go in on a Tuesday night against reading, attendances on Tuesday nights are poor anyway. They are always down compared to Saturdays so it's relative if they are down in the NSL. I'm disappointed in your post, I thought you were better than that.

I am not meaning to have a go at the NSL it is my right to stay in the kilner bank that I am defending I hope you can see that ben It certainly is your right. I don't hold it against anybody who does not want to have a go in the NSL. Nobody who organises the NSL does. What I take exception to is the where alright jack remark. I won't name them but there are 2/3 lads who work there bollocks off for no pay, there own expense and time, going to meetings with the club over issues such as catering for the whole stadium, flags/banners policies for the whole stadium, away blocks to improve atmosphere, open end policy to allow free SC transfers for all fans into the NSL (making it effectively 100% inclusive despite the myths) etc. It's done for the love of HTFC, not the NSL, they just happen to help run it. The catering although poor in the FML, it's poor all over the stadium but some very dedicated fans are pushing harder than anyone to have it improved. Those are a few examples, but at no time has anyone who organises the NSL said 'fuck the rest of the stadium, as long as the NSL is ok'. Some of those lads are on the ATT panel and they equally do a lot of work that nobody hears or sees but we may all one day benefit from such dedication.

Still want to know more about this TUNNEL. Will it go all the way to the Railway Station so we can have a clear & direct way for visitinfg fans to access the ground. It could also go straight to the police station - this way they could park their police vans in it rather have them on the pavement & yellow lines at the side of the police station which makes it a bugger to get past them when it is busy - (ie) 9am last Saturday morning.

Let's not romanticise the South Stand either, and try and demonstrate some balance. The view from the South Stand is WORSE than the North (given its further away from the action and is less steep, so for any given height you're even further away)... The facilities are worse than the Kilner (being open air etc). The atmosphere is same as any other random part of the ground would be...it seems loud because its away fans and that's what happens, and we remember when there's 3000 away fans in there backing their team. The real likelihood of Town fans being in it is there would be 1500, rattling around in a lot of empty space, with folk in the centre and north end of the Kilner declaring it failed because they can't be heard. Things are just how they are. A tunnel will be built from the away stand (South Stand) to where the golf car park now is, which will remove all the current potential crowd conflict (not that there ever is any) with away fans crossing/minghling to get to coaches, and at some point the north stand lower will be developed, as the current stand only has a limited lifespan. Well said that man NSL carrying on the good work. A good cup tie will prove the point that a 18,000 + crowd generates a great atmosphere anyway. No more of this South stand shit.

Where are the plans for the tunnel? They are expensive things to build at the best of times but the site of the stadium is massively poluted from the old ICI days and thats why it was a good place to put a load of tarmac on top that isnt going anywhere any time soon. The moment you start to dig a tunnel thats going to be tricky as everything they dig will have to be taken off site and thats expensive and problematic with green credentials.
The current situation isnt great but as its my way out of the stadium for the last 20 years I cant think of many fights in the car park in that time so seems a bit of a pointless expense.

The tunnel is just a smoke screen - most home fans grounds we visit get the best end behind the goal - at Town we get the worst. As for those who say they do not see the regular hassle/confrontations between home & away fans (coach area) then you must work for either HTFC of the police (or both).
