I've emailed too & asked for half my money back, based on the fact that I could only see half the pitch. Normally I'd never complain about something like that, but they're just taking the piss & they need telling. Anyone with a few brain cells could see it was ruining the game for the very people who'd paid to watch it, but absolutely nothing was done.

I agree with the post - we commented on it regularly during the game. Couldn't see the ball, and all the players looked like black shadows, no idea who was who. Similar at Fulham, but down the side of the pitch, so not as much of a problem, but the same effect.
I'm amazed they can get away with it - considering teams change their kit if the shorts of socks clash!! What if everyone looks black!!
I didnt notice whether the hoardings were darker when Bolton attacked that end... now that really would be something.....

Ive emailed Bolton FC and copied Nicola Stead in about this issue. I also couldn't see much in the 2nd half. Very distracting

I had a stinking headache during the second half and I put it down to the advertising boards. Its ironic on the News they state warning " Flash photography coming up" They should stamp something on the Bolton Match ticket an absolute nonsense and completely spoilt the game for me .

Got a holding reply from Town saying they are asking Bolton for their observations/comments so we shall see what reply comes forward.

Had a reply from reception at ( reception@bwfc.co.uk ) and they say the commercial department will get back to me shortly. Like others above I said I would think twice about going there again and also suspect that the blinding flashing can have an effect on players (especially the opposition with the way they do it). At least I have the satisfaction of knowing they have been made aware of what a number of paying customers think.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the LED boards here at Macron Stadium on Saturday, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are reviewing the performance of the system with our technicians to see if there are any suitable measures that can be put in place to reduce any negative impact on the viewing experience.
This was the reply I got from Bolton customer services so maybe they are thinking of doing something about it.

Though the system is bright, it does conform to all necessary operational regulations.
'Bright' is a bit of an understatement! Also, the bit in bold made me smile - It's difficult to imagine how the 'viewing' experience could have been any worse.
Now I've had chance to see Nahki's 2 misses in the first half, (on top of the Butterfield & Holt chances) that's a game we definitely should have got something from.

Would be interested to know what operational regulations he is referring too. I guess supporters ACTUALLY being able to see what is going on is not one of them.

I had exactly same reply. What regulations? Hmmm... Not satisfied with that answer. Has anyone any video taken at the time?

Got the same reply as everyone else - looking into it, systems in place etc. Will not bother saying anything anymore - jus not bother going.
