Have I read this right. A Season Card Holder who is a patron has to wait until friday & has no priority over someone who is a Take 10 holder only. Looks like the Patrons are out of favour.

With a Take 10 holder (who only has to buy 10 tickets) getting the same priority as a Season Card holder (who is essentially buying 23 tickets) it looks like Season Card holders are not the flavour of the month either.

But take 10 matchday prices work out marginally expensive than season card holder prices.... ITS JUST NOT FAIR!!!

How many is it per season ticket holder? I am wanting to buy one for myself and one for my brother who is back working from Dubai for Christmas and it would be great to go to the game with him, I'm hoping there will still be some left tomorrow, sounds like there will be a mad rush for them!

I was going to stat a new thread titled JOKE the mrs the little one and myself are all season ticket holders however the Mrs is the only one in the B&W as the generall benefits dont really amass to all 3 of us being in it and spunking an extra £30 a month.(might not be a lot to others) today the wife rang up to get us tickets for all 3 of us to be told she could have one but not for the little one and me coz we are not members of the B&W. its getting too much now that clubs expet you to fork out for season tickets other match tickets (go away when we can) cups etc but then have to pay extra money to get lets face it not much for joining another scheme. surely if a member of family is in it the rest shouldnt be punished as the money spent on that membership comes from the family pot.

Why not just wait until tomorrow when they become available to ST holders. Its not like they're going to all sell today is it.

Anyone any idea of numbers sold?
No chance of home end I don't think as like Nick said they have 600 left, and you have to be on their database which the spoilsports will be cross-referencing with Town. Plus it's being that long since I saw us win away no way would I be able to keep it in if we did get 3 points...

At the end of the day season ticket holders (+ B&W etc) should have priority. If 2600 season ticket holders want to go then it's only right that they should get a ticket above your brother in law.

But I'm a season ticket holder who could miss out on a ticket because I have to wait until Monday before I can buy a ticket so that we are sat together ??

I'm sorry but I agree with the Club on this one. It's only fair that those who contribute most should get the priority. I don't have a blue and white foundation ticket but I am a season ticket holder, the people I am going to this game with do not have season tickets and so I am going to have to wait until tickets are on general sale.
Systems like this were put in place when we played Liverpool at home in the FA Cup. Alot of people who were first to snap up tickets weren't regular Town fans, alot of them weren't Town fans and alot of them classed Liverpool as their first club.
It's boxing day, a new ground and not the largest of allocations but I do believe tickets will make their way to general sale but you will need to be quite quick to buy them in order to avoid dissapointment.

Can you suggest a fairer way for the club to sell tickets for games like this? It is unfortunate that you may have to think of something else to buy your brother in law for xmas, or sit separately, but I don't see how the club can factor this into its tiered system.

But I'm a season ticket holder who could miss out on a ticket because I have to wait until Monday before I can buy a ticket so that we are sat together ?? That's just bad luck. The club should prioritise season card holders getting a ticket above season card holders being able to sit next to their non-SC holder friends. 2600 should be sold to SC holders first, your brother in law isn't one. You've just got to weigh up what you'd rather do.

With only 2,600 tickets & a season card base of around 8,000/9,000 I believe it is likely that most (if not all the tickets)will be snapped up by season card holders. If the club had added in +1 which means anybody could get the second ticket - some will have been to see Town on a regular basis, others a "one off" and club ran out before all season card holders had the option to purchase they would have got "destroyed" on here. However two things: 1) Patrons should have had the same priority as Blue & White. They always have in the past. If this was going to be withdrawn, which it looks like then Patrons should have been made aware in advance so they can review which organisation is best for them. 2) If a member of immediate family (mother, father, son, daughter) are B & W members then perhaps they should be included in the first tier as well.
having said the above the main issue of small number of tickets, local, Christmas - therefore high demand suggests that however the allocation was split there would be negative feedback - do not usually defend the club but not really sure (overall) that they could have done things that much differently.

It should be on a loyalty basis Surely that's how the club are doing at the moment, no?

Surely it is on a loyalty basis (based on the information the club have). Apart from adding in say the length of time a person has been a season ticket holder not sure what else they can work on. If some one has attended home and away games for 10 years but also pays on the day they would be excluded from the tiered system as there is no specific knowledge of them doing this.

It should be on a loyalty basis Surely that's how the club are doing at the moment, no? Not so the club doesn't take into account how long people have held their season tickets - who goes to way games etc. if a non ST holder has attended every game home and away for the last few seasons how does the club measure that - we should have tokens like most other clubs, that way the regular supporter will get priority.

I've given this some thought and I believe for games that are likely to sell out tickets should be allocated using the following points based loyalty scheme:
The total round trip to a game in miles (a point for each mile) The amount of pints consumed at the ground and Canalside during a matchday (10 points per pint) The average temperature of games attended, with a scale starting at 50 points for -5C and then getting one point less for every degree warmer the temperature is, to 10C An additional 25 points for attending crap games, eg Wigan at home this season 15 points for wearing a town shirt to a game, but a 10 point deduction for wearing NSL merchandise, as this doesn't financially benefit the club (sorry lads, I'm making the rules) 25 bonus points for raising your voice above 90 decibels 5 or more times during a game
Think I've got it all covered there. If the club are unable to implement my plan, it just goes to prove they lack ambition.

But the fact remains we still only have 2,600 tickets.
On the wider issue it would just be to complicated to work out. For example which of the following would have priority:
1) Season Card Holder of ten years who attends 20 home games & 8 away games per season. 2) Non Season Card Holder, been attending for 8 years, never missed a home game, 12 away per season.

plus 10,000 points eveytime you get an article in the Examiner, reduced to 1,000 if it is a positive article.

All the proposed "Loyalty" schemes on here, seem to benefit the proposer. I wonder why that is?
