I think CP will shake the team up this weekend JV to start with GH and Gerrard to come back to cover the problems at CB I also think he will bring LP back in at RB hopefully HB will be back to give us a bit more balance down the left.
3-1 to Town get a tenner on

I'd play them, Wells is well off form, Jimmy needs to earn his 20 k wages now imo.

Whether he starts would be more about his fitness, how close he is to full rehabilitation and what the medical experts say, as opposed to any doubts about his class and quality. Surely we don't want to f*** him up again?

What's this sudden fascination with Peltier? Since his return, he's not played any match I can remember, where he justified a first team place.
From what I've seen the majority of the defensive issues have been in the centre, not left or right back.

I wonder if you get called a silly name by readingterrier for sharing my opinion? Did you go to Fulham? If not, your not entitled to an opinion.

Not sure why we are discussing it on a JV thread but yes there are issues all across the back line Not saying he is good enough but Pelts hasn't been given a chance at right back so too soon to write him off imo

No doubt golden boy Wells will start and put in another weak performance that gets overlooked by the majority on here. I would give Ward or Vaughan a go before Wells.

I agree, he's a striker who is not performing, drop him. Brummy have a good defence now, rarely concede more than one in games with Rowett as boss Can't see us winning .

Could you see us beating Brentford after their five game winning run? I knew we would I knew we would lose vs Norwich and I know we will beat Brum... So be happy

Yeah sorry you are right... To be honest I had a catnap after reading the first three words.. But I would agree with Reading, Smith needs a break imo

So now you want our crocked striker who you said a few months ago should be sold to replace Wells? Sure Wells has struggled of late but so have many others in the team, he needs to play and find the net again which i am sure he will!! JV needs to earn his massive fat wages now. Wells is bang out of form, so yeah I'd play JV a fragile boy with Holt. Might not work, but I'm sick of seeing Wells miss chance after chance.

Wouldn't risk starting JV for a long while yet, looked v rusty last time out and generally takes ages to get up to speed never mind his fragility. Not ready for a start. Shame cos him and Holt would be a right handful. Im hoping our staff have got some concrete ideas on how to use Vaughan without him breaking down again so quickly, easing him back very slowly would seem a simple idea for a kick off. Seems at his most vulnerable after a lay off.

How many chances has Holt missed in recent matches (since Fulham)? I can't think of any. I'm not saying Wells missing his is great, but at least he's getting into positions to score and looking likely. He certainly needs one to go in for him and get his confidence back up and I can see him going on run - much like he did after a drought last season. I know Holt contributes in other ways, I just haven't seen anything from him to suggest he's going to grab us too many goals. If we start Vaughan on Saturday and he hobbles off again, it shows we've learnt nothing from the last 1 year+.
