Clearly summat with Rhodes putting off Prem managers, never been a serious offer for him i dont think. If he plays 30ish games he'd def get 10-15 goals i reckon. Difference between staying up and going down for one of the lower prem teams. Seems same deal with Scotland, never had a decent run starting for them, always seems to be behind some shite in the pecking order Doubt he'll ever play for Scotland again after his support of Team GB in the run up to 2012. That more or less labelled him English up there. I don't think any of the Scots named in the provisional Olympic squads (presumably with their agreement) have been picked in any Scottish international sides since?

See the headline and opening paragraph here >> www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/4365589/Rhodes-faces-Brit-call-fury.htmlThey're a bit odd up there, throw in his positive support of Team GB in the press and talk of supporting the team when he didn't make the final cut, and he more or less talked himself out of getting a call up in future. We'll see over the next ten years I suppose.

Its the Scottish sun, complete non story. Strachan will pick whatever squad he thinks is best, its his job on the line. Rhodes wasn't even in final squad anyway. Nonsense story

Likes of Palace, Hull, QPR, Swansea if bony goes will be in for a goalscorer in January. Rhodes form has not been great for a while now. Rhodes wouldn't be able to replace Bony.

I can't see Rhodes being as much of an asset to a struggling team who create few chances.. If he is not scoring he is not doing a right lot... He is a pure finisher and most definitely a premier league class finisher. My sanity has been questioned on this matter but over the last couple of years I feel he would have maybe been a better fit at say Liverpool, or Arsenal .... 25 prem goals guaranteed IMo

I thought Liverpool should have had him when Blackburn did, to be honest

Strangely enough unexpectedly I had dinner with one of the Swansea board the other night. Said that Bony is going nowhere this season...

With posted €24m profit for 2013/14 season and forecast €35m for this season, OF COURSE they can afford him.His sale would also mean Blackburn get their transfer embargo lifted in summer... and assumedly they'll already meet the new £13m allowable loss limit for next season (and his wage off the books would help that). Plus, he gets to play in blue and white stripes again. How many Spanish teams outside the top 3 spend over £10m on one player? If they had loads of money they'd have spent it in the summer there's no way they'll suddenly spend around £12m on one player. Yes, I agree but don't think he has the bottle to move abroad and if a prem team comes in he will choose them.

I'm not bothered where Rhodes ends up as long as they pay over £8m & we get a 20% cut.
