My brother Steve Kelly passed away 15 months ago as Most people are aware, he was an academy Coach at Town and had also done scouting work for the First team. An annual Memorial Football tournament is now named in his honour. The tournament is indoor for children between the ages of 6-12, it is at Wakefield Indoor Soccer Centre inbetween Pugneys lake and Thornes Park. The Event will hopefully attract in the region of 2000+ people over the weekend of Sat 20th and Sunday 21st of December, which is this weekend. It is a Multi charity Fundraising event with One of the Main benefactors being Martin House Children's Hospice. On Sunday at 1500 approx, a Team of Ex and current proffesionals will be playing in a friendly adult Mini League, including Jonny Worthington, Danny Schofield, Terry Curran and Andy Holdsworth, 4 names out of the 16 who have pledged their time to this Event. There is a raffle with great prizes including Sports memorobillia and tickets as well as cash and Shopping vouchers. If you are Free and Would like to come and say hello or See some of the Town legends you are more than welcome. There is a bar and refreshments on site. If anybody on this site could share this Post on DATM or any other HTFC sites including Twitter, please do. My brother was a lifetime loyal Fan and was known by many as "FITZY BLUE, or plain old FITZY" Hope to See some Town Shirts on Sunday afternoon. UTT Kevin Kelly and Family.

I miss Fitzy. He was the only person on this planet that was shitter at computers and technical stuff than me. An extremely funny bloke, hope the tournament goes well and will be thinking of him over the weekend, and probably laughing.

took our two u8 Battyeford teams to the tournament today.
Everybody had a really good time - last year was good, but clearly a few small tweaks have been well thought through, and it was better still.
Great way for our young footballers to finish before Xmas.
Thanks to all involved in organising.
