Oh dear, he's as much to blame for today as the players but there's no need to talk out of your arse.

Clearly a wind up and no fans are calling for Powell's head
However he - like his team - were poor today. Wrong formation, started with flat tempo, came out second half even flatter and his subs were too late. Managers score today 2 out of 10
The last time we played well at home we started 442. Yet Powell keeps picking this failing 451 with Holt (who was pathetic today) the only striker. Over to Powell for answers in the next game

Dean Hoyle I know you don't want to be seen as a sacking chairman, but Christ almighty you are as shit at picking a manager as Powell is a team. Don't let this knobhead be in charge for one more game. He doesn't give a shit about town, all he is bothered about is being in the media spotlight and spouting off about being a black manager,so please tell him Alex Dyer to take their soapboxes and fuck off back to London. ONE BILLY DAVIES THERE'S ONLY ONE BILLY DAVIES.............................

he will change the team and play exactly the same way next week. I got a right load of shit for saying he would play this way today, he will do the same again after changing a couple of players. its not who plays its the way we play.
Birmingham back 4 nothing to think about or worry about for 95% of the game. even shit teams in this division can defend easily when there is nothing to fear.(maybe not us, but everyone else)...
he set out to play a slow, dull scrappy shitty game in the hope that we scored the one goal from a free kick/corner/mistake, unfortunately they did, plan a totally fucked. plan b throw everyone on for the last few minutes and try and save a point.
we don't even go down putting up a real fight, its utterly dreadful and from hoyle down they should all be ashamed about charging money to watch that shit.

He's certainly no tactical genius is he? Lost 5-0 last week so he tried to park the bus and nick a point this week. Would make sense if we were playing a Derby or a Middlesbrough away but we were at home and Birmingham were entirely beatable.
'Negative and slow to make changes' the less complimentary Charlton fans said. I'm starting to think they were right. I can see him getting the bullet from Deano before the season is out because playing like that or how we've played in the games since our 7 game run ended will see us 2nd bottom and cut adrift in no time.
The players aren't great but managed correctly can do better than that

Grayson and Robins reverted to exactly the same tactics eventually so to me it's down to the managers all eventually coming to the conclusion that we haven't the players or budget to compete at this level.
I'm I convinced Powell will significantly turn it round, no. Nor I'm I convinced we could get someone here who would do significantly better in all honesty. For me it's only a matter of time before we run out of luck and go down. It's a shame after all the effort to get to the Championship and progress the club the best we can hope for on a shitty December afternoon is to play for a 0-0 draw with 1 upfront at home to Birmingham.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but at least with Lennon he may have been able to get our squad playing with some fight and tempo which would have possibly made up for our lack of quality. Powells brand of football is rapidly descending to the same level as Grayson and Robins had us playing.

I don't like admitting it but I think this is probably right. Mind you with the right manager and a bit of luck in the transfer market there is a chance you can compete - burnley, brentford, palace and Ipswich have done ok on similar budgets. Sad really that all we've got to look forward to is the possibility of surviving this season. Maybe now FFP has been shown to be toothless Deano might say bugger it and spend big in Jan!

don't give him money. wait till he proves he can turn out a team that competes at the very least.
you would be chucking good money after bad, we have done this before..
we started defensively, surely after 20 odd minutes powell must have noticed that there wasn't much of a threat against us and we could do more by way of attacking??
I think he would have taken a 0-0 all day long, its too hard a tactic or ambition to pull off enough. the opposition score late on and your fucked...

He's got a job for life. We can't tarnish our name further by sacking a black manager

The players aren't great but managed correctly can do better than that They have done better then that, the bright new dawn after the Forest 3-0 win. A good little spell, unbeaten in 7, how can it go from that to utterly diabolical in such a short span of time ? Other teams use that kind of run as a springboard to move on - Bolton have done it, Birmingham have done it, Fulham have done it, Millwall are showing fight despite last nights setback, Rotherham - is that the start of a revival today, probably ( ! ). You just kind of know with us, it wont last, I don`t know what that is down to, but it certainly didn`t just start with the current manager. I am not one to come on here spouting messages of doom, but today was a great opportunity as I said last night to maybe get 7/9 points from the next 3 winnable games. Suddenly with still no momentum and it would appear again no real hope, 1 point from 9 might be all we get till the end of the year. Shame, as today could have been a new start again, if we are going down, let`s at least have a go, and not go with a whimper. Come on, ffs !
