Aye lets get rid of two of our better players (Hammill & Gerrard). I don't know what the problem with Hammill is but we haven't half missed his creativity this season. As good as Scannell's been he still doesn't create much.
I'd take Carlton Cole.

If Powell keeps the formation from yesterday I'd take Hammill over Bunn every single day of the week. I get that with Gerrard Powell seems to be getting rid of the disruptive influences in the team but replacements will be needed. As for Carlton Cole, like Holt another player we will never be able to afford long term.

If that is true with Hammill then our egoistic manager needs to sort himself out very quickly. He doesn't seem capable of picking the right team from a very strong squad of players.

Hammill one of our better players?!! Hahahahaha....since when? Its nearly a whole year since he contributed meaningfully to this team and he is symptomatic of the problem the club faces. Well paid but with a seeming inability to make the most of a substantial talent...........had a great 2m under robins early last season, but for the restof the time here hasbeen another infuriatingly mediocre player. If he was truly a top player at this level he wouldnt be here.......has rarely featured this season after a disgraceful opening day performance and id be happyto see him exit in january. He aint a 20/21 yr old rookie anymore and has had more than enough chances to confirm he is a good player consistently.

Agreed Shawsie, he is one of the most frustrating players ever to appear in a Town shirt.

Up until getting butchered in the Charlton game (February I think) he was our best player last season. 5 goals & 10 assists whilst playing out of position at wing back and he is infuriatingly mediocre? Rubbish! He might have his off the field problems but you shouldn't let that cloud your judgement.

He was excellent for about a couple of months under robins until he got injured in the facup game in early jan against charlton. When he came back he was absolutely awful.......before his good spell he was hit and miss mostly miss, one week good then missing for another two. 5 goals and 10 assists you say?! If i am wrong, then he must be on other teams radars then, cos hes done f all for us now for 12m! I know wingers can be inconsistent, but get shut of him and the other waster of talent danny ward. Lord knows how much we have shelled out for these two who have had match after match to prove they are the real deal and failed. Scanz it could be argued is not dissimilar, but at least he could point to never having had a regular starting role until lillis took the reins unlike the other two. Oh....and can we please add goburn, paterson, stead, sinnott, crooks, wallace, carr, carroll to those heading for the exit door. There must be 2m+ in wages on that lot who have managed what.........a dozen games between em this season.

So let's get rid of our most productive winger and sign someone that's proved over the years they can't hit a cows arse with a shovel

At the club's player of the year awards Hammill won the Highest number of assists award, the Media player of the year award and was runner up to Clayton in the fan's player of the year award.

Quite frankly i couldnt give a stuff. From jan onwards we were a disgrace.........we hardly won a game and even worse we didnt try to win some! We lost 21 games during the season and 13 from jan onwards.....the awards last season are laughable, because clayton won by a landslide and he was poor until nov/dec time, nearly half a season! I am not bemoaning hammills talent.....but like the others hes had his chances. younger lads like bunn, scanz, lolley should now have their chance because hammill, ward dont cut it much beyond bottom 6 at this level imo.

Robins' tactics were largely to blame for that though. Personally, for whatever reason, I don't think that either Hammill or Gerrard have had the opportunity to show their worth this season and neither can be blamed for the drivel we've been showing of late.

Were they frankie?! Grayson signed him on loan and he was average at best in a poor championship team. Hammill has played his best football under robins - it earned him a big money move from barnsley to wolves and robins stuck by him last season when quite frankly from his return from injury onwards he was crap. Add to that the off the field stuff (whatever that exactly is!) and i wont be losing any sleep when he departs next month. Cant disagree re gerrard - sadly under used this season imo, particularly if we are putting faith in wallace who imo doesnt have the qualities needed at this level.
