I personally think it's good that players kick off if they aren't playing. At least it shows a desire to be in the team rather than being happy drawing their wages for being on the periphery.

I'd be well chuffed if we signed Carlton Cole, although I can't see it to be honest. As for Hammill if pointless step overs and shit crossing are classed as good wing play then he's been superb, in the last 12 months.
Scannell has shown what you can do if you are prepared to knuckle down and wait for your opportunity, along with about 5 or 6 others I wouldn't be upset to see Hammill go. We could fill a minibus with some of the dross we need to get shut of.

I think there is every chance Hammill and Ward will go along with Gerrard. These are players largely frozen out. Also think Powell has not got a fecking clue what he is doing and will do with this club exactly what he did at The Valley. Utterly laughable appointment. We were probably the only Championship club that would have considered such a (desperate and comical) move. Very few League 1 or 2 would have done either.

What did he do at the Valley (other than win League 1 and finish comfortably above Town every season with a similar playing budget) ?

Carlton Cole has the look of a Chris Powell signing to me, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. London connection, Powell will have spoken to West Ham because of the Diego Poyet loan, so, yes, I can see it happening.
CC has all the attributes you'd want of a big target man, HAD a lot of potential a few years back, but he's not done a lot this last few seasons has he? Has he got the hunger to move up north to a Championship side? Hope I'm wrong and he bangs them in, if he signs, but we'll see. I'm not pretending getting the right target man in is easy mind, so good luck to CP.
Tom Nichols of Exeter City is a young striker talent Town should look at (and I think they are), but he'd probably be one for next season, not now.

Carlton Cole! There's more chance of seeing George Cole at the John Smiths.

Any more well-known people with the surname Cole that can be 'amusingly' added to the list for staggering comedic effect by our collection of wacky contributors? *rolls eyes*

Weren't we meant to get (a much younger) Carlton Cole on loan the season after we'd had Leon Knight from Chelsea but it fell through ?

If Chris Powell does what he did at Charlton!! i would be more than happy and who would you have gone for then? don't say Lennon, because he didn't want the job, probably because we wont pay crazy money for players and crazy wage's and end with with massive debts. Chris Powell will bring in the players that will keep us in this division.

Aye lets get rid of two of our better players (Hammill & Gerrard). I don't know what the problem with Hammill is but we haven't half missed his creativity this season. As good as Scannell's been he still doesn't create much.I'd take Carlton Cole. It certainly is funny how different people see things. For me he is infuriating, far more than scannel ever was. He can beat a man then wants to beat another and another and 9/10 simply ends up losing the ball. The only thing wrong with scannell is the rest of the bloody team who dont support him enough. He still has the ball that Hamill would have lost, but he doesnt always have options around him. Gerrard is a steady unremarkable squad player at this level with an apparent attitude problem. Well good i say i wish some of the other kittens we had playing for us would man up. They just dont get it. We have coady today saying that on saturday we needed to play it more across the back? UNBLOODYBELIEVABLE!!! How about getting stuck in you ponce.

Sooner he goes the better and then who will employ him? Man has no idea how to motivate a decent squad although I confess he seems adept at pissing quite few off.
