Makes you wonder if Crooks' recent performances in the reserves have been because he's been hoping to impress watching scouts.

If you consider the forwards that we have moved out (Paterson, Stead, Ward), I think bringing Miller in is a decent move. Would definitely cause more problems for defenders than those that have left?? Is he any better or worse than Conor Sammon, he will do the same job Better from what I've seen of both.

Got that one wrong Superloopy. Dixon is NOT going to Dundee, he's going to Dundee United...........different clubs, don't you know? And don't claim that you meant the city of Dundee either! px?

codders,, Then Town would not have signed him.. a good 2/3 months would do and then think again.. years wasn't and isn't where the club are apparently at this time..or they were not until the 11th hour... too good to turn down??? that's a tough one..lets hope he is a success because we wont be able to give him away if he isn't..

Er you are being negative.....please explain the message thing...the club is being damned if they do and damned if they don't....what messages did the signing of Nahki Wells send out this time last year and Holt on loan? Wells and Holt had track records when we signed them, Miller has done nothing. Wells and Holt involved substantial investment on fees and wages respectively. Miller is a Netto purchase. That's the difference in message, especially considering the wage bill reduction we've engineered over the last month or so. Ahh that would be Netto as in Scandinavian for Value....but why denigrate someone who has yet to kick a ball for us.....your mindset epitomises the downbeat miserabilism of some sections of the Town support And indeed many on here. How much should the club be spending or more to the point Dean Hoyle on incoming transfers and who should the club be signing in your 'expert' opinion?

leightonterrier..
we got stuck with a late one.. accept it and move on..
he may well turn out to be a good buy and serve us well for two years..if not, we couldn't shift him in Nettos on the bargain tray..

ixion.. you know me, I might have made it up... unfortunately in this instance I haven't.. galpharm - once he pulls a Town shirt on he'll get my full support until he gives me a reason not to. Just a little underwhelmed that's all......especially as I think there are other, better options out there that we could afford, at least on loan. I had a look at Akpom's press from last month. Now he IS out of our league. Out of contract in the summer and already has pre contract offers from Dortmund, Feyenoord and Twente, and Arsenal want him to sign a three year deal. Plus they don't want him to go out on loan because they've just loaned Sanogo, Podolski and Campbell.

he will get my full support..they all get my full support.. so will the kids tomorrow afternoon..
underwhelmed is what this transfer window was always going to be about.. although we have shifted a number more than I thought possible. Oddly enough it seems our unwanted, want to move on and play... weird that..

Agree it would give our supporting forwards the opportunity to pick up the scraps which should come off of his presence in the box.

How much should the club be spending or more to the point Dean Hoyle on incoming transfers and who should the club be signing in your 'expert' opinion? I never claimed to be an expert, but given that we have reduced our wage bill substantially this month (now eight out and two in with nearly four hours still to go) I'd have thought that a loan for Samaras or Kevin Doyle wouldn't have been out of the question. Maybe he's tried for this calibre of player and failed, who knows? In which case we do need another striker and Miller is better than no-one. Chris Powell certainly knows more about playing and managing than any of us do, even if his tactics seem a little negative at times. Maybe it's catching?

miller is a fee, 2 year deal....blimey... I don't want to doubt you after your Edgar exclusive but I really find this hard to believe.... there is no way Town would give out a contract to expire in Jan/Feb time unless it was a short term trial. If he has signed permanently then it will NOT Be 2 years, it may be 1.5 or 2.5, I will be gobsmacked if his contract doesn't end in the month of June like every other players contract at the club.
