After a rallying call over the last few days, the way I feel right now is bollocks to cup games. If the management and players can't be bothered to have a go on a cold miserable January then why should the fans. Decent turnout today to be served up insipid dross from minute one and the manager and players should be told it's not acceptable! Not one good display in a blue and white shirt today.....and it's got sod all to do with fatigue or tiredness.....they have just had a week to get over Xmas the lazy half arsed beggars. Am absolutely fuming with the whole bloody lot of em right now and it really is getting embarrassing how shite we are in the cup.....if they aren't interested then tell us and we can make other arrangements cos I'm not paying to watch the drivel we produce year in year out in the cup again. If you get done by a decent team on the day then fair enough.....but they were a mediocre team employing awful tactics but we lied done and died again!!!! Dreadful day all round it will be worsened on Monday when they get a big money spinning draw.

Official attendance was just under 7k, poor buggers! I stayed at home and won £50 betting on teams I knew would score.

The crowd today is pathetic town fans. With the match day pricing, is stopping town fans from coming down. Chuffing shite attendance town fans, very embarrassing indeed!!!!!! What makes Town fans not come down is the utter dross that is being served up Don't tell me I'm not a true fan as I've only missed 4 games home and away all season and spent a fortune, watching with the odd exception half arsed efforts by people who earn more in 2 weeks than I do in a year, I didn't go today as (and I agree Bolton was a decent game) in the main I have been watching shite. Very embarrassing indeed ? The only thing embarrassing is the way Powell and his lot are set up NOT to lose the game. Was it one shot/header on target all game against a very poor Reading side....................now that's embarrassing Me...............I'm not embarrassed at all, just pissed off at yet another excuse for a peformance

Was going to say with it being a special price many of the floating fans wont come back after today. Problem is with the gate being so low I don't think many floating fans took up the offer in the first place. Bad day at the office all round .

As far as I can remember we didn't have a single attempt on target (Reading had one).

Totally agree with all of that, Jon, and I implore the Club officials who monitor this board to take these views seriously. There was NO evidence today that anyone in our first team squad, including the manager, gives two hoot about the club. Dean must be steaming.

Just seen the stats Shots Town 4 (0 on target) Reading 2 (1 on target) According to the BBC They basically had one good ball on floor thru middle of our defence and he took it well. The lack of ambition today bu town was criminal, It was very full in Antioch near my usual seat towards front. A few blokes had brought youngsters, poor fuckers watching that.

It was certainly a similar game to many that we've had in recent weeks under the laid back ultra cautious Powell. Whether it was Birmingham, Wednesday, Bolton (away), Fulham, Brighton, Wigan - I could go on - we've come up against a mediocre, if not poor, side and got next to nothing. I wouldn't mind if we were going down all guns blazing against decent teams but we're not. I thought Birmingham were poor but Reading were even worse, and yet won quite comfortably.
Whilst I'm having a whinge, how does Harry Bunn get a game every week, and Lolley doesn't ? Bunn was found out weeks ago - he should now be learning in the development squad or out on loan - and why the hell he wasn't booked for one of the most pathetic - and frustrating - dives in the second half I've no idea.
I've nothing but admiration for Dean Hoyle but I've no idea how he's going to try and bring the crowds back to the stadium when Chris Powell seems intent on out-Robinsing Robins. There's a danger that our season may be over yet again just after Christmas , unless we're involved in another relegation fight.

63 minutes before either side had an attempt at goal, and that was vaughans header off target.
Ok Reading came as your typical southern spoilers, time wasting, surrounding the ref on every occasion, niggles...but Town ?
Oh dear...
That's my visit in a while, and I won't be back again this season...
another casual fan who's not prepared to pay to watch total dross, sorry.

I was at work you dick. i was at work too, but not going to use that as an excuse because i wouldnt have gone anyway, i once went to every match home and away 3 seasons running and that was in the old 4th division but cant be arsed now, too much money and despite promotion and now in the championship we play utter shite week in week out, £25 ticket ( normally ) £10 train fare £15ish on beer £5ish food = £55....nah dont think so id rather take wife out for a meal or buy something worthwhile....football is not exciting anymore, cant remember last time i watched MOTD, its boring

It's embarrassing turning up thinking we might look to attack for once, rather than play for the 0 0 at home. I'd be surprised if the ball was in play for longer than 40 minutes today, yes Reading wasted as much time as possible, but we showed no urgency to play with any sort of tempo today - shocking

Dont want to bash Powell but I'm sure he could have picked 11 blokes out of the crowd today who would have put in a better performance than our boys.

Should have just made it £10 on the gate instead of having to mess about getting a ticket. Decent offer and pricing, but why when we have a good deal on do we have to make it complicated for fans to get tickets. Complicated? ? Going onto the net, buying a ticket at home, printing it out and bringing it to the match. What's hard about that? Do you really find that hard? If you do then how do you get on in a modern society? Jesus Christ!!!!! I don't have a computer or a printer so it wouldve been a bit of a task aye.

Just seen the stats Shots Town 4 (0 on target) Reading 2 (1 on target) According to the BBC Reading had a Norwood free kick that went miles over the bar (the only shot/header of the first half by either side) and the goal - a good finish from the only incisive pass of the match. Reading were the worst side I've seen all season. Town had a Vaughan header go over, a Hamill shot screwed horribly wide and a Scannell shot that was as close to the corner flag as the goal. That was it. And that summary above makes the match sound 100 times better than it actually was.

not a bad challenge in the game, all niggles and little shoves and trips.. one decent 50/50 in the second half engulfed in total and utter desperately bad football and little girlie spats and arguments, all ably assisted by a pernickety little fat git in yellow.
2 managers who should feel somewhat embarrassed that they cant get 22 blokes who claim to be professionals to offer more than that. one owner who really must start understanding that his staff are now taking the piss.
