Just seen this, not too surprised with Ward especially with Powell saying he wants a new striker too, as I think he's 5th choice winger and 3rd choice striker at the moment. Personally a bit disappointed to see Hammill go, thought he would play his part this second half of the season and be important for us, but oh well we move on

Neither have done anything this season and should free up a good chunk of wages. Good move.

Not surprising really, but would have been better served going to L1 than a relegation rival.

would that suggest we have another winger lined up?

Think we need to wait until we see the bigger picture before judging this. Initially it doesn't look good with them both joining the same rival for relegation, but it can only mean there are going to be players coming in.

Surely Joe Lolley is the "OTHER" winger we have lined up...... I was going to change my name to superdannyward as well. It must be a curse.

Two players with the potential to make us regret that move, but then they're not really doing it here. We've got Scannell, Bunn & Lolley - plus Jake Charles coming through the youth. Moving Ward & Hammill on makes sense.
It's a shame that it's to one of our rivals, but it's not like they're key players for us.

Pringle coming the other way? That's an interesting thought! We would be in danger of becoming the championships liverpool.... Not enough heighta and muscle to compete with physical sides.

Madness.
Happy both have gone - but anything to support a team one place under us is nothing short of madness.

Jake Charles hasn't played since 'turning' his ankle pre-season, has he?! A long time out, could really hinder his 'development'

Flipping heck that's a bit of a risky move for us. Will be great to see them getting first team football but could be a threat to our championship survival. We must have signings lined up that we are confident will blast us up the table and well away from danger

Fair enough it's freed up some wages but to loan them both to a potential relegation rival is outrageous imo! We better have some quality coming through the door in the very near future to sanction such a deal!

Both easily good enough for bottom end Championship on their day but not currently getting in the team here. Football's a short career and they need games, good luck to them.

Another winger coming in? Gary Mackay Steven?

Both decent players on their day, but with enough minus points to justify offloading them. Hamill in particular I'm not sorry to see go, I never could get comfortable with his petulant attitude. Do we really need to see replacements coming in for these guys? Lots of people have been saying that we need a smaller squad of better players, leaving room for the youngsters to come through on the bench etc. We've got Bunn & Scannell as 1st choice wide players, with Lolley on the fringe (accepting he's not a winger per se)- who else do we have in the squad / club that plays wide?
