According to Orlando fans on Twitter, they reckon it's going to be a 6 month loan deal.

That's 5 off the wage bill since Jan 1st, with a bit of cash incoming for Ward and Peltier too. I can't imagine David Edgar is costing us a fortune, so plenty money left over to cover the wages for a decent loan striker until May. Please let it be Samaras.......or someone of that ilk. We need the cover for JV, and it would also allow him to recover properly from his current injury before he starts throwing himself about again.

Ted they are irrelevant, well obviously not but we need a striker in,we cant offload these players and bring no one in just to save a few quid, would be utter madness to carry on the season with only vaughan and wells, no way would we let all of ward, pato, stead, hammill go if we dont plan on bringing someone in...if cash was that tight we wouldn't of brought Edgar in over a striker

We need two in my opinion .. And I'm sure we will sign at least one.. Absolutely .... I suppose I'm commenting more on the " where's the jack hunt money?" Brigade .... People don't seem to realise that we are losing money month on month... And if we sell someone or loan someone out it doesn't necessarily follow that all this money goes into a transfer slush fund .. But yeah we need a striker and as I said the other week " when does Hoyle ever let us down" just to temper that though.. The fact we tend not to see January as a great time to buy, also allied to the fact we are now 11 points clear of rele zone, ( will be 14 on Saturday please God) may mean that the Incomings aren't as " sexy" as the fans might like

Good luck to the guy, met him on a couple of occasions! Don't think he was given a fair chance here! Probs not good enough though!

He got a few goals last season, prob the best though. Good new start, all the theme parks and sea world too. We are trying to just have quality now.

Good luck to Pato. Always busted a gut & scored a couple of important goals for us last season. I think his injuries prevented him from establishing himself with us. Id of kept him as backup myself but I agree with CP that he needs to be playing regularly at this stage in his career.

good move for us getting him off the wage bill but amazing move for him, gets to move to Orlando, play in an easier league and play with Kaka who a few years ago was one of the best in the game.

I may have to go watch an Orlando game now just so I can shout Town reject at him! I may do the same when they come to San Jose. He was alright IMO. Scored in both games I saw the Christmas before last, including saving us a point v. Derby. He'll probably do well in this league, although it's not a bad standard these days.

I've no problem with him. Worked hard when he was in the team got on a run of scoring 5 in 5 but got a knock missed 3 weeks and never really got a look in again.

Easier for Powell to improve the team permanently in summer when he's not preoccupied with a match every few days. Get injury DURING a game and we can go over up top, OR Scannell, Bunn and Lolley have all played there and could easily be used to make do for one game. It's not really a big deal... When we release Smithies or Lynch or Scannell or Butterfield or Wells or other players who are actually playing, without replacing them (with signings or quality youth/u21), that's when we have a problem. How many points has Paterson helped towards in his 10 minutes or so this season... It's no loss.

He wasn't as bad as most say imo Better for him to go to get regular games though and nice weather and place to live, Arby's beef sandwiches and big shakes and cheerleaders .
