It was inevitable that this was going to happen. JV very unlucky in this injury in that it wasn't his fault their lad's decided to wrap their size 9 around his skull. 19th of January tmrw and still no striker in. Hope this Spurs on CP etc to get in the much needed striker we crave. Wells up top on his own is NOT the answer Do you know something...?

Sad news. typical of town to ship players out and leave us short. We all knew Vaughan would get injured and this would happen. FFS town!

I have to say that until I have just seem it I did not realise have bad & cynical the foul on Vaughan was. My initial reaction was it was an accident but clearly not. Did we even get a free kick!

No Nick nearly double that mate, The username was easy to come up with, I have read this board with interest for some time, I am a big supporter of NSL etc but most on here represent my username, A lot of the older boys on here like to think they know it all and don't like to be challenged, I guess it's because they are either really old virgins or divorced could even be married but under the thumb, I love a wind up if i am honest but most of what i write i mean, I haven't got to know many on here but you seem decent as does Yesss the others i aint sure about yet but i have my opinion which is what football is all about and i speak my mind, I won't and don't arse lick anyone just to be popular on here. But you must bow to Ted and his one line or one word put downs? Cock

Unbelievable there wasn't a yellow for dangerous play. Was there intent? I've watched it half a dozen times at crap internet resolution and can't decide. Gutted for Vaughany, just starting to look like his old self again and some twat puts him out for a month.

Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Don't get rid of all your forward line unless you are certain of sufficient incoming replacements. Once again we have got it wrong but hopefully we still have time to do something about it.

He put on twitter he won't know to later in the week. I'm guessing they'll let the swelling go down first then take another look at it. Doesn't sound good though, tell you what if it wasn't for bad luck, town would have no luck at all.

Once again we have got it wrong but hopefully we still have time to do something about it. No point keeping them if you don't think any of them are up to the job and clearly CP didn't. Reckless challenge. Vaughan had every right to go to head it. Kalas had no right to have his foot that high. He and we have been shafted. Reminds me of that assault on Roberts a few years back that went unpunished. Our luck and Vaughan's will change. I'm sure we'll have a striker in as cover. As soon as vaughan is medically passed for he'll be back out there for us.

You can suggest what you like, However He kicked into touch at least 3x in the first half and prob the same again in the second and does so on a regular basis week in week outJust seen some of your previous, you obviously have an agenda and your last post confirms it, i'm out. Smithies' kicking against Middlesbrough. Never let the truth spoil a good story.

Really? Well, if that is true (in reality probably once) that's absolutely shocking!! More than once fella and it happens on a regular basis week in week out with him and causes us to be on the back foot which prob contributes to some of the goals we have conceded, He needs to sort it out. Spent the night watching all this and last seasons games. Alex kicks it out of play on an average of once every 5.5 games. That was mainly last season when he was aiming for Danny Ward who was out on the touchline.

Really sad about JV. However after watching it on Town Player a couple of times I'm pretty sure the Middlesbrough player didn't mean it - it's pretty clear to me that he twisted his body away to stop the follow through once he realised he'd connected. Non of the town players got shirty so it would seem that they saw it the same way too.

Two really good strikers needed now. Even having wells plus the two new strikers would be considered being down to the bare bones. Must get at least one in for tomorrow - Vaughan's replacement could be just a month's loan to cover his period out

Gutted for JV and I am shocked there wasn't a card for their player. As mentioned Nani got a red for having a foot in the general vicinity of a player, even though there was no contact. The fact this had contact and such a hard contact clearly means a red wouldn't have been unjust.
Maybe the ref was just dizzy watching the ball get kicked out of touch in every which way by Smithies?? ;-) I blame the government, Alex Smithies wasn't kicking like this in the Championship before they came to power!

If it's a fractured cheek bone he could just wear a mask like Torres and Demba Ba did!
