My thoughts:
Booth and Jepson. Stewart and Payton. Stewart and Chief. Stewart and Offside Clyde. ...... JV and Wells.
Town have always done ok with 2 strikers. We've never had 3 good ones to rotate to have the depth we now seemingly crave.
Rather than 'quality' coming in I'd rather see young Charles given a run or Lolley as a no.10. Bunn could be our 3rd striker, it's a shame Carr didn't work out as planned.

Bunn had a fantastic spell earlier in the season, I'd be more than happy for us to give him more game time, he's quality.

Fine in theory but none of those were anywhere near as injury prone as James Vaughan

I'd be happy for us to try him up front if/when we're short of options/need to change it

we need another striker at the club.. bunn isn't a striker, neither is Lolley and Scannell can only do it at a big push..
Vaughan and wells might only last as a duo for a game or two, you know it, we all know it..

At least Powell has realised we CAN play with two strikers! Took long enough but maybe he's there now!

We looked unbeatable for 45minutes, an attacking team that others simply wouldn't be able to cope with, Dean Gore threading balls through for them to work off, Kenny Irons doing the hard work to allow Gorre that space and Chris Holland apparently doing "things you don't notice" (I never noticed). Not sure where it all went wrong, is that when Clyde had his accident?

He was a massive disappointment tho- so slow he made Alan Lee look mobile..then I remember years later when he was even older back at QPR looking class again. Classic example of a one club player.

The problem is that if he breaks down again then Wells really does struggle to play up by himself. We'd be relying on Harry Bunn up to with him, which could work, but is completely untested.

Not saying they are the best there but they can still play it.

I reckon bunn would be perfectly capable as a central striker- he hustles defenders, links play pretty well, has a direct style, bit of pace and he can finish.
I'd rather us wait until summer and sign someone hi quality.

Bunn comes in off the wide and disappears.. lolley could play anywhere, possibly/maybe?
scannell is a wide player..
trust the last 4 months or so to 2 recognised strikers??? lets hope not..
you know me id take 4-5-1 every week if we actually supported the one properly.. having options is what its about, proper options not make do and mend..

Not sure where it all went wrong, is that when Clyde had his accident? I never noticed him doing anything either - except running alongside opposition players for no discernable reason. You couldn't even say he was that shit as he didn't do anything to be shit - that was the problem: he didn't do anything!

I didn't rate the Stewart/Payton pairing at all. Stewart was nowt special for us until Jacko arrived, and Payton was shit.
Completely agree with all other pairings that I'm old enough to remember.
