20 year old irish left back playing for the u21s this aft, on trail from Cobh ramblers I believe, makes sense that we are looking I guess as we may not have one come the end of the season.

Trying to sign Robinson, as unlikely as it would be that QPR are prepared to let him leave, would be my Number 1 priority for the summer. By far the best left-back since Jamie Vincent and a lad who still has room to develop further. Hope this new lad impresses, although carroll came with a decent rep and looks a good athlete, but has never really kicked on.

If he carries on having the season he is they will want probably double that. Should we be spending that much on a left back? probably not.

Have to agree, I'd love us to sign Robinson on permanently but unfortunately his price tag in the summer will rule out any possibility of that happening.

Sounds like he was majorly at fault for the goal we just conceded

I assume the figure will depend on whether or not QPR manage to avoid relegation from the PL come the end of the season? If somehow they do my guess is they'll invest heavily in the squad for next season, which could pave the way for players to leave.

I very much doubt this guy will be signing for us permanantly.

1m was a steal for a young English player of Robinson's ability. If only we'd paid that for him. He'll posibly be worth 10x that figure in a few years time.

Danny Adams is the best left-back I've ever played with

I'm sorry but he was poor, looked seriously lacking in pace. He cost us the first goal and was subbed at half time.

but dixon is better What at?! Robinson is our player of the season. Never beaten in the air, brave, aggressive, quick, two footed. A future full England player without a doubt.

Butterfield POTS so far though IMO.

Gotta love this site, people wanted rid of Robbo 4 games ago.. Some did aye, but they'd be the ones who normally think a player is only as good as his last game - just like we'll be a crap team again and Hoyle will be a waste of space again, if we get beaten on Saturday. Robinson's defensive strength has been evident since the very start and much as I used to like Dixon's marauding rampages down the left, they very rarely ended in anything producing a goal and they didn't mask his failings as a 1 on 1 defender. Robinson has added the going forward aspect to his game excellently in the last couple of months. Add that to a solid positional sense, a great engine and a love for a tackle - he's a bloody good Championship player. Don't think his distribution is good enough at the minute to play in the Premier League regularly, but he's far and away the best Left-back we've had in eons. If he maintains his form, he's in with a very good shout of Player of the Season for me, although a swashbuckling Lynch or a creative Butterfield may attract more votes due to their stand-out games as opposed to a player who is a solid 7-8/10 most weeks.

"on trail"...from the Ramblers....sounds like he should be doing the Pennine Way instead of wasting time down at Canalside.

Gotta love this site, people wanted rid of Robbo 4 games ago.. You mean a few people weren't impressed, and stated this. If the others are like me they'll be more than happy he's come good and to a level I never anticipated.

Folk went mad for Martin Kelly, Robinson is far better IMO.. I agree with the poster further up he will be a full England international in a few years time.

Not sure about playing for England, as we now have an embarrassment of riches there and he's probably not good enough going forward compared to the top left backs, but he's been tremendous for us the last couple of months and he should go on to have a long career in the premier league.

From not good enough for Town to future England player in 6 weeks.
6 weeks Hudson was the saviour.
Just shows people shouldn't be judged good or bad on a few games.
