Never liked these Leeds lot since that bloody battle of Leeds road in that 70s "friendly" match . Low numbers of Police for this friendly resulted in them totally loosing control allowing around 1,000 hooligans to clash from the ground to the station . What made matters worse were the Leeds who started pulling up garden fence sticks to use as weapons. Never seen so many car windsreens smashed. Similar happened in later years when the Leeds train was pelted with bricks after leaving Huddersfield station. I certanly understand why this is still classed as a high security match as simply no chances can be taken.

It's not the 70s now and I haven't seen trouble home or away for many years. Ps....I voted them to stay up, just, can't enjoy whupping 'em if we don't play 'em.

I voted yes. But I would be happy to see them go down, not because they are Leeds, but because I like it when these so called big clubs get a rude awakening. Just as I did when Man City dropped to League 1. they would bounce straight back so there would be plenty more Yorkshire derbys.

I voted no, as would Dean I suspect. It's a pay day for us, we should give them more than 4k IMO for that reason alone. We need it financially. It's also a great day out twice a season. I'd also like to see Bradford in the championship too for that reason.

In reality I only want them relegate if Bradford got promoted at the same time. It would keep a west Yorkshire derby and be good for a laugh! Beyond that the three of us in the same league would be good commercially I've got a fair few Leeds supporting mates who won't stop lauding their last two wins over me, so them getting relegated would certainly be funny but in reality, I wouldn't want them to go down unless they were replaced, Bradford would be ideal

Firstly, I'm not obsessed with leeds at all. But anyone who says Saturday's match is just a normal run of the mill game is probably telling porkies.. I've personally being counting the days down cos the atmosphere in the ground will be at fever pitch come kick off,, So the pre match build up, the atmosphere, the tension and of course the bragging rights at the final whistle. It's surely got to be the best game of the season, the one most fans look for when the fixtures come out.. Would it like to see leeds get relegated? Too fucking right I would, I hate the smug up their own arses bastards.. Dropping down the leagues like a lead balloon, investors pulling out, financial wrong doings, scandal, embarrassment, and finally total extinction... Would it miss the local derbies? Course I would.. Would it be happy? More ecstatic really..

Yes,it would be great to lord it over them forever more, but to say as one poster did that they would like to see them go out of business and have their ground demolished is sad and pathetic, the decent fans of any club love and support them just like we do.Wanting to see clubs to go to the wall!!!people who think this cant like the game that much.

I voted Yes, but not just because it's Leeds.
Whether we like it or not, Leeds are a big club & sooner or later things will work out for them. As things stand financially, Town will continue being one of the smaller clubs in the Championship & the more similar sized clubs there are, the more chance we've got of doing better in the next few seasons.
People talk about wanting Millwall & Rotherham going down. I'd rather it be teams like Leeds & Brighton, who are very likely to be more of a threat to us next season (assuming we survive this!).

If we go down with them, fans will have the pleasure not only of seeing Leeds relegated, but also of playing them in our favourite local derbies next year! What's not to like about that?!

I am so torn. Yes it would be funny if they go down but I don't really see anyone at the top of league 1 that would attract as big a crowd so financially it would be a loss.
Also, I would be quite happy to see the current bottom 3 to go down. Blackpool can be a good day out but Millwall and Wigan can go out of the league altogether for all I care.

Lots of cars around Hudds with those leeds shields in back window Horrible to see. I don't think there is though Nick, you see a few about but equally if you go to other towns in the area there is Town insignia in cars there, don't think Huddersfield has a disproportionate amount of Leeds fans.

Sing songs about us and our players instead.

I voted no, as would Dean I suspect. I really can't believe some of the comments on this thread. I've lived outside West Yorkshire since 1980 and Leeds have meant less and less to me over that time (I dislike Notts (sic) F*rest and Man City (for ten good reasons) much more now), however I'd still bl**dy love it if they went down and we were a league above them. In the 70's we got so much sh8*te from Leeds fans (most of them plastic) it's hard to describe and the local media basically ignored us (on Radio Leeds their reserve team often got more coverage than us). Is football really so much about f***ing money these days that we would turn down the opportunity to be a league above them ?? We haven't even finished above them for over 50 years. I sincerely hope Deano would love it if they went down or he isn't the man I think he is. The lad I've seen dancing on the pitch at Bury would surely lose a few £££ to have them a league below us wouldn't he?

I prefer "who are they" Nothing more cringeworthy than going to Bolton v Town and hearing us chanting "we all hate Leeds scum".
