I prefer "who are they" Nothing more cringeworthy than going to Bolton v Town and hearing us chanting "we all hate Leeds scum". Yes, how awful

I voted no, as would Dean I suspect. It's a pay day for us, we should give them more than 4k IMO for that reason alone. We need it financially. It's also a great day out twice a season. I'd also like to see Bradford in the championship too for that reason. Totally agree it's a major payday for us, but can't agree that it's a great day out mate.

Mixed feelings about the question (or, more specifically my answer!) No animosity towards Leeds - or any other team - but this has to be my least favourite game of the season.... On one hand I would like them to go into another division (any division) so that we didn't have all this bloody nonsense a couple of times a year. On the other hand I imagine the club get a few bob extra from this game which compensates for all the noises off (extra police, restricted exit stupid k.o time etc.) which has got to be positive.
They seem to be in a mess at the moment and could quite possibly get relegated which, given the size of the support base, would be bad for the West Yorks region. So; on balance I just about hope they stay up ----- As long as they get beat on Saturday...

How many Sheff Weds fans were rooting for the Blades in the playoff final 2012? They were almost as happy as we were when Simonsen ballooned his spot-kick into orbit.
Beating them gives you 3 points. Being a division above them gives you the joy of being in the division above them. As for the payday thing - let their shitty little club decline & perhaps we'll get a few more residents of the surrounding villages supporting us rather than them. That would be a bigger pay-day.

After all the shit we got when they were top flight and in Europe I can't believe anyone would vote no.

Yes,it would be great to lord it over them forever more, but to say as one poster did that they would like to see them go out of business and have their ground demolished is sad and pathetic, the decent fans of any club love and support them just like we do.Wanting to see clubs to go to the wall!!!people who think this cant like the game that much. Yes i'm sure the lxxxs fans were up in arms when they were trying to not only shut us down but steal our players as well in 1919 . You wouldn't even have an Huddersfield Town to support if they had had their way . So yeah,i'd love to see them go to the wall .

And while we are at it, I would like the scoreboard to just show Town v Opposition only and not show that hideous shield when I look to check the time on Saturday.

Like you, I wouldn't be sorry to see the back of them for the reasons pointed out above. You ask why it would be bad for W.Yorkshire if they were relegated. Pretty obvious answer I suppose: We, in Yorkshire, haven't got a club in the top division (unless Humberside has moved) There are IMO two clubs in the County capable of sustaining a challenge over a period of a few seasons in the greedy league - sadly, we ain't one of them... The North of England is viewed as a sink by our safern cousins and even the boogers that have some football knowledge think that the only decent teams up here come from weepy Liverpool or arrogant Manc and in my view we could do with some substantial representation to adjust a few attitudes....enough said? I would "just love it" if we were up there for a season or two, BUT; I can remember 1970 - 2 and my guess is that it'll be a sight more difficult to compete in the top division now that it was then. "It's good for Yorkshire".
It's indifferent for Yorkshire. Does Kent suffer from having no teams playing above league 1? Does Devon suffer from having no teams playing above League 2? Do Cornwall, Warwickshire, Rutland, Northumberland, Worcestershire suffer from not having a single team in the football league?
Do Stockport County & Salford FC benefit from being in the shadow of two Manchester clubs?
I agree with Andy Sk

Without banging the "Yorkshire" drum too much (I probably missed Hull re-joining Mr Tripper - very remiss of me!) and; taking a SLIGHTLY (!) parochial attitude, I would like to see Us, Leeds, both Sheffield clubs (not forgetting Barnsley, Rotherham, even Fax and York City and any that I've forgotten!) dining - so to speak - at the top table....Simply for the social, economic and cultural benefits that would surely flow from such a line up.
I read the "hate Leeds" rubbish on here (at least) twice a year with some dismay - surely THEY are us! They may have been born a few miles to the east but in the main they are still citizens of the broad acres..

I would love it if they were relegated. But, what would be best for Town? A couple of expensive to police derbies would go from the fixture list but we could establish ourselves as the top team in West Yorkshire. Yorkshire. A few hundred more every home match would easily compensate fo the derbies and sponsors and the best academy kidswouldbe drawn more to us. A no-brainer.
