Whenever I go to a bank, post office or supermarket these days there are always unoccupied tills, desks etc, purely to save on costs. Could you ask Deano if he has thought about fielding ten players instead of eleven? This would free up a wage and give us some good practice if ever we should go back to fielding eleven players and we get someone sent off.

Can somebody ask him what he thinks of fans repeatedly asking other fans to ask questions on their behalf at Q&A's, and whether he wishes he'd built Canalside nearer Golcar? ;-) Assuming that's a dig at me, how else am I suppose to have a chance at getting my questions across if I'm not able to physically attend, or for that matter don't care to attend these things as I have other plans that I find more appealing?? I don't really care where Canalside is...I doubt I'd be going if it was down the end of the road, never mind over in Golcar, it's not the kind of place that appeals to me... And guess what, the VAST MAJORITY of Town fans won't be there also...good job too otherwise you'd never get served. That doesn't mean we're not interested in hearing what the current owner of our football club has to say, or we're not interested in raising discussion points. It's an open meeting, not the flipping Patrons, don't try and turn it into that.

Damn it, I wanted to get down to the next Q&A but meeting mates in town. This club doesnt want supporters like you!! You're a disgrace. According to some other supporters.

Can someone ask him how he feels about one of his fellow directors on the Town board suggesting that the club have no influence over a supplier to a company that Dean is also a director of? Also can he accept my applause on behalf of all Town fans for the positive way in which he, Chris Powell and Hudds Town FC came across in the recent "Inside Out" documentary short. I watched it with a cynics eye ready to baulk, and pretty much all the programme that wasn't the bit featuring Town satisfied that cynicism, full of seemingly uneducated made up nonsense, personal agendas and people trying too hard to say the right thing. The openness and straightforwardness at Town was a stark and enlightening contrast. Can he also be asked if we've been approached by the "@ Academy" film crew to showcase any talent, or if they're only looking at the "top level" Academy setups. Also... what's the "next step" with regards to our Academy and development squad setups. Results wise we seem to have been consistently at the top of the game at our level over the last couple of years. Is there any aim or gain associated with pushing the Academy up a level so our kids are competing with the very best talent in the country from the Premier League clubs, or are we satisfied with where we are for the meantime, and probably been relatively attractive a prospect to kids for the level we're at? Thanks. Cheers, wasn't aware of that. I guess it makes the "what next" question more pertinent, but harder to answer.

He's making reference to that rather silly thread from the other day that accused the club of favouring the Town foundation over improving the squad. I think he knows that No - I don't think I read that thread all the way through. Just the first opening lines, I believe. Sorry for offending (if I did).

Will Deano do the half time draw? I'm sure Tog could come up with some relavent owner v. ownerless banter. e.g. "Just for our friends from Beeston, this is what a club owner looks like".

Can someone ask him if he now thinks ffp is not the worth the paper its written on as clearly our friends from beeston receive a transfer embargo and still manage to sign players. Was it really worth it when potential good players/possible targets that would have clearly added to the squad to shape it more Powell's way have been lost?

It's the chairmen/owners who get together and set the parameters for FFP each isn't it? They vote on the rules, which is why FFP is going to change next year, allowing more losses. What right royally pisses me off is the fact that we could be missing out on players who actually then go to places like Leeds and Forest, both of whom are SUPPOSEDLY under an embargo (ho ho), let alone the worst of them all, Bolton (how the hell did they ever slip under the FFP radar? ) like Le Fondre.

The question was "is it really worth it?"

It is useless unless penalties bite and they clearly do not. What will bite us and bite us hard is the lack of options we have up front. Taking the money side out of the equation which we now clearly have following all the departures, just how do you end up going into the last part of the season with just 2 recognised strikers on the books and one of them injury prone at that. FFP no doubt affected the decision not to bring in the striker we needed in the summer.

FFP no doubt affected the decision not to bring in the striker we needed in the summer. FFP is frustrating but I'm guessing it's been a long fought battle to get anything in place with the competing interests. It isn't the FL imposing the regulations, it's clubs themselves. What makes it difficult to apply stern sanctions, other than vested interests, is the basis upon which clubs are judged - their accounts - and this is doubly so because one year's accounts are exceptionally malleable. Time is needed for true patterns to emerge (you can only hide most stuff once). Deducting points is fine, but (and again I'm imagining) could well be seen as easy to legally challenge if based just on a single accounting year. The danger is that FFP is strangled at birth. I think you are right to say that FFP informs all Town's decision making (the only way to improve the position is more bums on seats consistently), but if you were the one who had to pay the consequences I'm sure it would also inform yours too. I can't see it being the reason for not having a needed back up ( or 1st choice) striker though - that seems to be down to the right deals being available up to this point in the window. It seems to be acknowledged that ALF was wanted and sought.

FFP is a red herring IMO. We must operate within our means whether FFP exists or not.

Mel ask Deano to make it clear to some of the people using Canalside that they have no rights to force themselves into traffic after the game. Nobody who uses Canalside to park is important enough to get home one car up from anyone else.. The gent the other week in the 56 plate red focus who wished me well with his index finger after nearly taking my front end off with a huge jerk out into traffic, knows who he is. Thanks for locking your doors and pretending I WASNT stood next to your window...seeing you had a female and a child in the car somewhat soothed my rage, you are clearly an arsehole who had begat another one and I realise you cannot educate pork.. I do let one out from car parks along leeds road, I had let one out, traffic was moving and fuckwit appeared into the road like a hot rod start Daytona.. a simple would have sufficed..
