The issue was a cash one. Can't remember exactly, but was along the lines of Forest and Palace agreed a loan with a fee at the end if Forest wanted to buy. But as the loan drew to a close Palace upped the price, an amount Forest couldn't and wouldn't meet, hence Hunt's return. Both Jack and Pearce wanted the full back to stay in Nottingham permanently.

Do Rotherham own any of their players? Must have loaned 10 plus players this season at one time or another.

Would *LOVE* to see Hunt get another five goal spanking when he comes back with Rovrum. Just like Barnsley last year!

Rotherham are giving it a go with signings to their credit. If they go down it won't be through lack of investment.

The guys carear really has gone downhill since he left us! Still least he got his big pay day! Why?! He went to crystal palace in the prem, unlucky to have a bad injury and has been trying to worl his way back since. Had a pretty successful stint at forrest, fans seemed to love him. Now hes gone to rotherham on loan who are in the same division as us. Wouldnt say that his career has gone downhill since leaving us, just been unlucky but still proving to be a good player at champ level.

Not saying hes done well but to say his gone downhill is a bit dramatic.

Because he is playing for Rotherham, are they a bigger club than us? How many appearances has hunt made for palace? did ok at forest in a good team not denying that!

You say he only did well at forest because they have a good team, they are on the same points as us! Cant be that good of a team. Rotherham and barnsley are not bigger clubs than us but you could argue they are of a similar level to ourselves. Hes only played in the champ since leaving us, he was and still belongs to a prem team, thats not really going downhill is it.

Can't fault Hunt wanting to leave to play at a higher level. The grief he gets in quite frankly pathetic and what Hoyle said about Hunt in the q and a was quite frankly unprofessional.
I'd take him back here in a shot and judging by Forest fans so would they.

Out of Lee Clarks golden boys there's only Arfield that's still in the top division.

If you behave like a big kid then you deserve the flak........Rhodes wanted to go, so did pilks and more recently clayton. They all did it with a touch of class performing right until they left.....silly jack didn't. Shame as the lad is an ok right back at this level.

Hoyle doing what he did is as bad as what Hunt apparently did. Don't hold a grudge who wanted PL football,s adly injury stalled that. Rhodes dad and agent went down to the club to kick off after we asked Blackburn for even more money?! very professional..

I will trust deans version on this one - he has never spoken in similar vein on other town players leaving and was clearly fed up and wouldn't gave him back. Injury hasn't stalled his prem career....it did initially but he's been fit for a long time but ain't good enough to get in the team.

Seeing as all Lee Clark's "golden boys" were signed in the third division with the ambition of second division football, why that particular dig? Surely that means at least one player "over achieved" to quote a 'topical' phrase?

I'd take him back here in a shot and judging by Forest fans so would they. Hunt was perfectly in his rights to want a move no question, unfortunately what he allegedly did and what Rhodes didn't do was lay his tools down, a slap in the face for the club that paid his wages and brought him through to play professional football. A point to those undecided whether to attend Saturdays Q&A, ask the chairman a question and invariably you'll get an honest answer. You may consider it unprofessional, what you will not be able to do is accuse the chairman of dodging the issue.
